The other ones are also kindly requesting we leave the border system we do not want to give up.
I expect the same thing to happen there. So odds are we'll get into a two front war.
I hope our fortresses are in place and the mines work. We may need them soon.

Correct, you can't SM a Jerx ship into your system, but you CAN transfer a ship to a NPC race.
I think you can even give it to an enemy race. In your system. and then conduct target practice..

These guys are both way ahead of us in tech... so this might end up as the first Aurora game that we lose!

I wouldn't give up that quickly. I've read what Steve can do against theoretically superior enemies. NPR's aren't very smart and we have jump point defenses.
All we need to do is make sure they can't get in and wait them out. At some point we'll get back to neutral or we get what we need to win and then we can either try again with diplomacy or smash them with tailor made forces.

Not very high, earth is a long way.
The main danger is for AX Microscopii.
Of course we could also concede ZNZ to stave off war against the Børk I guess. Microscopii is much easier to claim because it has an established population.

Main problem is getting the mines out in a timely fashion.
And losing access to a bunch of juicy systems.
If we do that, it would be to prevent a situation where we have to fight on two fronts at once.
.. anyway, the thing is that it probably *will* work, Aurora aliens aren't dictators that will interpret every sign of weakness as an opportunity to attack and conquer more like certain countries on earth.
It probably will get us peace. It's just.. quite annoying and we'll probably want to take it back at the first opportunity because Børk them.

Also, the reason they're demanding now is because relations got too low due to the relations hits from the requests to leave, right?
The problem is if they don't consider the pop large enough...
So they are a bit more advanced, but only a bit, right? I thought someone said they started with between 80% and 120% of our tech points.
