Also, a really dirty thought: could you get a missile fleet in striking range of their home planets? Would hitting them with several hundred warheads create enough dust to temporarily render the planets uninhabitable?

So war ends automatically if it goes long enough?
Also, the reason they're demanding now is because relations got too low due to the relations hits from the requests to leave, right?
The problem is if they don't consider the pop large enough...
So they are a bit more advanced, but only a bit, right? I thought someone said they started with between 80% and 120% of our tech points.
Surely we should be ahead economically so should be able to put research them?

So it'll only tick towards 0 if it doesn't get negative enough?Question is how far it gets into negative first..it .ay not be recoverable if we inflict enough damage.

If we weather this storm is this npr then wasted or can we potentially get then allied eventually anyway?I think so. If we don't get them to accept our claim they will just repeat theirs or declare war anyway since we refused their demands.

So you think it'll be war even if rheh accept the system as ours?If we manage to fend them off? Let's discuss that when we get to it. But I think it unlikely we'll be able to get peace after that.

Would it be worth it to retreat and fortify the next system, or would that hand over the Fort to the opponent?
Yeah, but Harmonybonly has two JPs, iirc. To the Modrons and back towards Earth.think it's best to fortify one point up the wazoo but if the situation calls for it.. maybe?

So placing it one system back wouldn't cost anything effectively. And we'd have more time, presumably, to put pops into the next system over before they make claims to that.
They'd claim the next system immediately after we give up Harmony? We have one 5 day build cycle. That's not enough to evacuate a few million civilians.
Or however many we have there nowadays.
And the population is the only reason why a demand might work in the first place. We'd throw the last chance at peace our the window.
