29 million km to intercept.

How klong until the rest of the fleet arrives?

The Harmony fleet will reach the jump point in 4.7 days.

But the Earth fleet will already be there, waiting for them. It arrives at the jump point in 41 hours and 40 minutes.

Red 2 can't reach the jump point in less than 4 days and 22 hours. They just miss catching the Harmony fleet.

Are Red 2 heading straight for the jump points? I thought they were going somewhere else.

They appear to be headed toward the inner system... but the angles are difficult to judge.

They are days away from firing on anybody, though, and the closest targets are the two captured ex-Modron dropships.

That would be funny, them wasting missiles on their own former ships.

I doubt they have the dropships for such a thing.. it's pretty specific.

Now 25 million km from intercept.

On the topic of target selection for the Gunships:

Since we believe this enemy force to be out of size-12 missiles - so we're facing mostly PD - why not treat this as a rehearsal for the upcoming battle with Red 2?

We can select our targets just as if this force were really Red 2... for instance, by taking down the missile ships as fast as possible.

This will give us a chance to rehearse the operation and critique it... before we actually have to face Red 2 in the jump point ambush.

That sounds like an excellent idea to me!

See how quickly we can destroy all the big missile boats. I suspect it won’t be fast enough to prevent him getting at least one salvo off.

We'll have the Fighters, as well, involved the ambush.

Hard to say what sort of hit percent we'll get with our old missiles.

Five million.

We've entered AMM-PD range. He is targeting us with sixty size-1 missiles every five seconds.

If I recall correctly, he can't hit us.

This is all expected and normal. They are extending their jump gate network, and guarding the Gate Constructor ship against Pirates.

Mayenne is that high speed AWACS -cum- Battlecruiser thing. 20,000+ kps.
Dyle is the Jump Gate Constructor.
Vosges is the PD escort that was guarding the Dyle earlier. We drove RIGHT past it (range 0) and it didn't shoot at us.
Went looking for a previous sighting of the Yonne, ( suspected gate constructor)
Actually fount the actual gate constructor. Dyle: 71 Ktons, thermal C3200, speed 2235km/s

Doesn't mean the Yonne is NOT a gate constructor. It DOES reduce the chances that it is.

ESN Radiant Joy successfully tanked 2,508 enemy size-1 AMM-PD missiles, with our ECM causing all of them to miss. No hits.
