I have ordered a Tug to take a Quartermaster re-supply ship in tow, and drag it to Harmony to service the New Fortress of Doom.

One of the two captured Vosges is scrapped, giving us two more Engines plus other components.

We're saving all the Engines aside until we have all the Power Reactors dismantled first... because Power Reactors can only give Power Plant tech, while Engines can give EITHER that tech or Gas Core Engine tech.

That's nearly 80,000 tech points we just got from the Vosges components, by the way.

Just sayin'.

We're getting within spitting distance of that Gas Core Anti-Matter Power Plant tech.

Less than 30,000 points away, if you include the tech points carried by the Salvagers.

With all the wrecks that we've recovered, we naturally found plenty of dead Modron bodies.

Shipyard expansions. Those two yards just reached 25,000 tons, and can be re-tooled for Battlecruisers.

More PD? Or Missile Boats? Carriers will require more displacement than that.

More missiles. The best defense is an overwhelming offense ;)

Don’t you have 14 slipways retooling for Hoplites? How many slipways are these shipyards?

Hussars are still untested, and the Emotion design needs a rework to incorporate the latest in shield technology. More Phalanx?

I think I've got nine slips tooling for Hoplites, plus the Winged Hussar yard can build them WITHOUT re-tooling (and is building four of them now) but the Winged Hussar yard is a 40,000 tonner and I would really like to re-tool it for fast, shielded Carriers or fast, shielded AWACS.

Missile Boats would be very useful. We have no fast, shielded missile platforms.

Fast, shielded Carriers would be awesome, but I can't see it happening on a 25,000 ton displacement. Maybe one of those 40,000 ton yards.

Start retooling the Hussar yard to your fast carrier design while it builds a quartet of Hoplites?

As for these 25,000 yards, I guess missile cruisers will best serve our avian leaders desires.

Or AWACS. The Gunships have no AWACS.

Or AMM-PD. To go with the Hoplites. Hoplites are Gauss PD. Add some AMM-PD to that.

Wouldn't say no but on the other hand, not in any kind of hurry either. I have a great crew and a great ship already.
Once we get even bigger ships I'm game though.

Very nice. One more disassembly or salvage trove and we can go for the engine tech which must be a fair bit underway with all of those engines too by now.

How many of the gas core engines do you have? If you have enough of those to cover the gap you can consider going for their disassembly anyway.
.. if only because I'd like an answer to the question if engines will get you the engine tech as well as the reactor tech, or just one of them.

If anything the Harmony fight proved we need a really really good missile defense. We needed slow and vulnerable storm class ships to cover that gap. So we need to keep building PD until we have enough of it to stop those 140 missile modron salvos with ease.

I don't care if it's gauss, AMM, laser, railguns, or throwing stuffed dolls out of airlocks, but our missile defense needs to be better.

Edit: .. or PD fighters? I know that's possible..

I will stay in my emotion. It served me well and I've grown fond of it.

Yeah, that's my issue as well. The Radiant Joy is a legend.
That said, my character has 45% crew training. A fully trained vessel is a waste of that stat.

Slightly faster than an Emotion II at 16,999 kps. Equipped with the biggest shield we can manufacture, and with three Decoy Launchers that mimic 40,000-ton Carriers. Defended by (in addition to the shield and decoys) four layers of armor, ECM-6 jammers against sensors, beam weapons and missiles, and by a Quad Gauss PD Turret. Carries a full-sized Fighter squadron, with two-and-a-half times the magazine storage of the old models (183 size-6 vs 72 size-6). ECCM-5.

Four. We haven't dismantled any yet. We should get six more from the other captured ships (two each).

Galaxy class!!
I like it. A lot.

Is there a flag bridge on this thing?
Also, since it's a carrier, is that enough fuel stowage for the fighter wings?
