Hi there! A casual screenshot of a map fix that we've just implemented in the game:

While this is very nice, I believe you've now inadvertently set a precedent of distorting the map by making the city of Venice 100 times larger than it is in real life.

Does this mean that other similarly significant locations might get enlarged or added in-game? For example, San Marino, Vatican City, the City of London, etc.

Still, love your work!

Cut it out, this was a no-brainer and does not in ANY way set a precedent for anything.

I understand what you mean by this, but Venice's entire existance as a country is based on the fact that their city is detached from the mainland, if there is one exeption to the rule that can and should be made in this game it's Venice

I'm pretty sure you could say the same thing for Tenochtitlan

Honestly, the same principle applies to Tenochtitlan, which was built on an island and similarly relied on its water-based geography for defense, trade, and urban planning. The canal system and floating gardens were as integral to its identity as Venice's lagoon was to the Venetian Republic. I wouldn't be surprised if it was also the case for other historically significant island or water-dependent cities elsewhere.

I'm not arguing that Tenochtitlan should necessarily be represented as an island city (though it probably should), just pointing out that while I'm pleased Venice received this special treatment, it's not accurate to consider their geographical situation unique.

Didn't lake Texcoco get drained during this time period?
So what? Lake will still continue stay even if they didnt make it a island

after a certain condition there would be direct crossing added
As it was even possible in eu4 as anbennar implemented buildable tunnels to link provinces

Or just make the lake Permanently freezed to simulate it is drained so that armies can walk over it

Request: consider also ability change sea locations to land locations in the future engine work dont just limit it to deforestation, or making farmlands, by this way lake texcoco could be properly drained

I think it's fine for a mod, but for official I would like they wait to get dynamic map for this

I know that there are Greek/Griko minorities in Sicily and Southern Italy but have they also been added to Malta? According to Wikipedia, there should be some in 1337. If I have understood it correctly, the majority of them should be Catholic, while a minority should be Eastern Orthodox.

Shouldn't Verona now technically own Mestre at game start? Wikipedia says it was handed over by the garrison commander to the Venetians in September 1337 during the Scaliger War in exchange for a bribe. Maybe you could make it an event to railroad it a bit?

(I know it's Wikipedia but it looks well researched with proper references)

Teno doesn’t make sense as there’s not any naval control so to speak on the lake. A province modifier for defensiveness would be logical. But also while it was on an island it wasn’t afaik entirely detached like how Venice is.
