CHI developed much the same mentioned as in the earlier post. By 1939 they looked almost doomed, since JAP approached the CHI capital within one province from three sides. But by Nov 1941 CHI has liberated almost every province in central CHI.

BTW the lv. 1 forts in Shanxi didn´t slow down the JAP troops. At the end of 1937 northern CHI was in their hands. Using latest beta and set 26.

in the war between the guanxi clique and Chiang's nationalists in 36, the guanxi clique was pretty much defeated after chiang bribed the guanxi airforce to join him, so letting your proposed transferes happen would be a very good idea.

I integrated those commands, but they donnot work as intended. CGX has 1 airwing and 1 ship but none of them switches to CHI.

I rechanged the CHI scenario to CHI annexing CGX after the war. It is the best solution i can offer.
JAP tends to attack the Yunnan area too eagerly. It often loses a dozen of divisions in Wenshan. Is there an elegant solution to avoid that?

Here is a new set of changes. Sets 25 and 26 are included in the file.
The most important changes are the infra in buildung queue. This set is relativly experimental, please report your experiences.

Latest beta, changes 27: Until late 1938 everything was fine on the Chinese theatre. But then the CHI forces started pushing back the JAP troops.

In Oct 1939 I looked up both armies. The CHI had 135 Inf, which seems okay. JAP had 80 Inf (which is okay, too), but they had no manpower left (and no oil), so its troops were no longer reinforced. Still they tried to produce several lines of Inf+Art, though the slider settings suggest, they wanted to emphasize reinforcement.

MP seems to be the key here. Would it be realistic to give them some more MP once the war with CHI starts?

I agree. There is little reason for Japan to have less MP than Germany.

I have to disagree at least partially. After some time Japan AI will catch up in manpower as its daily manpower gain is above that of a CHI that has lost lot of provinces.

Historically the Germans mobilised double the amount compared to the Japanese.

By then it´s probably too late. Several divisions were down to one third of strength and will most likely be destroyed soon. But I will continue and see what will develop from this.

Is the checksum CIXR with Pang's changes installed or should it stay as RKVR?

I´ve got CIXR too.

I continued the game until NOV 1940. JAP has managed to hold the eastern part of CHI, but has lost 10 divisions in the process.
CHI on the other hand now has 164 INF. Sooner or later the JAP will be expelled.

I continued a game into a later phase. The USA did build the first Bomb, but their chose of targets seems to be not very well.

Barbarossa started June 7, 1941. GER had 197 divs, SOV 325.
The second Gear up fired July 13, the third July 27, the fourth August 25 and the last September 16.
July 7 GER had 198 divs, SOV 259.
Aug. 7 GER had 202 divs, SOV 222.
Nov. 7 GER had 207 divs, SOV 193.
Leningrad fell Sep. 7, Moskow Sep. 10, Stalingrad Sep. 23.

Isn't this amendable by setting higher priorities for air attack on other provinces, such as mainland Japan? By the way, this is the same which should happen with "normal" raids by strategic bombers, i.e. prioritizing the enemy's core provinces for all major belligerents.

I continued that game a bit longer. GER annexed SOV on july the first in 1948. GER builds up quite a navy and in 1951 this navy is the biggest in the world. But after UK mainland is occupied the german AI seems to make no attemps to attack the USA.

I...But after UK mainland is occupied the german AI seems to make no attemps to attack the USA.

I have experienced the same multiple times: If Germany conqueres all of Europe, it simply ignores USA.
I guess noone ever thought about an AI_switch to a sort of Germany_US_conquest which of course would require an extra AI file with guidlines to invasion, preferences, staging areas,...
I guess such a thing is simply nonexistant by now, because it comes into play maybe 1 out of 20 times

I would really enjoy such an "US invasion-AI" - especially when playing USA!
