having the same "old" problem with marocco... :(

1- upon choosing "anarchy shall prevail"( to avoid the +10 inflation), i was left with the 2 "sus" cores. i never ever received the other cores back by any event combination, as a matter of fact there were about 20 years where i had ZERO national provinces at all :rofl: (when forced to release sus later as well, via event).

2- same problem with sudan; i never GAINED the cores but i "lost" them by event. however i conquered most of that area prior to 1500's so the events probablly were "slept".

3-making this nation part of european continent(no default colonial population increase) makes the conquest of west africa easier then before, as possible tp be done very earlly(annexed a few pagans there before 1440's) at NO bb costs ;) = no european ever gets "upset" with marocco gaining ground and become an empire whenever it feels like doing so...

I'll look into it. All this makes me happy to think that my event logic has improved since those events were written. :eek:o

Few more problems; again, these are probably my fault due to using an out-of-date version when my PC was dead. :eek:o

Code:
#(1422) Henry VI's Minority
event = {
	id = 164218
	trigger = {
		NOT = {
			event = 170290 #FRA: The Treaty of Orleans

		}
	}
	random = no
	country = ENG
	name = "EVENTNAME164218" #Henry VI's Minority
	desc = "EVENTHIST164218"

	date = { day = 1 month = october year = 1422 }
	offset = 60
	deathdate = { day = 29 month = december year = 1422 }

	action_a = {
	name = "ACTIONNAME164218A" #By His Majesty's will, Bedford shall rule the kingdom
	command = { type = wakemonarch which = 046043 } #Humphrey Plantagenet (Henry VI)
	command = { type = domestic which = centralization value = -1 }
	command = { type = domestic which = aristocracy value = 1 }
	command = { type = sleepevent which = 164221 } #ENG: Jacqueline of Hainault
	command = { type = sleepevent which = 164231 } #ENG: Henry's Minority Comes to an End
	}
	action_b = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME164218B" #Invest the powers of Kingship in Gloucester
		command = { type = wakemonarch which = 046037 } #Humphrey Plantagenet (Henry VI)
		command = { type = stability value = -1 }
		command = { type = domestic which = centralization value = 1 }
		command = { type = domestic which = aristocracy value = -1 }
		command = { type = sleepevent which = 164220 } #ENG: Jacqueline of Hainault
		command = { type = sleepevent which = 164227 } #ENG: Beaufort and Gloucester Feud
		command = { type = sleepevent which = 164230 } #ENG: Henry's Minority Comes to an End
	}
	action_c = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME164218C" #Let the old man Beaufort have his day
		command = { type = wakemonarch which = [COLOR=DeepSkyBlue]046038[/COLOR] } #Henry Beaufort (Henry VI) [COLOR=Lime]°[/COLOR]
		command = { type = domestic which = centralization value = 1 }
		command = { type = domestic which = aristocracy value = -1 }
		command = { type = relation which = PAP value = 25 } #Beaufort was a papal legate
		command = { type = sleepevent which = 164220 } #ENG: Jacqueline of Hainault

		command = { type = sleepevent which = 164230 } #ENG: Henry's Minority Comes to an End

}

According to the first beta's monarch file, it should be 046007.

Okay, here's the quick fix for this:

Code:
event = {
	id = 232009
	random = no
	trigger = {
		NOT = { exists = FEZ }
	}
	country = MOR
	name = "EVENTNAME51003" #The Sa'di dynasty
	desc = "EVENTHIST232009"
	#-#

	date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1554 }
	offset = 20
	deathdate = { day = 1 month = january year = 1665 }

	action_a = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME232009A" #We are the Sa'di!
		[color=yellow]command = { type = addcore which = 732 } #Tangiers
		command = { type = addcore which = 733 } #Fez
		command = { type = addcore which = 806 } #Toubkal[/color]
		command = { type = addcore which = 1595 } #Anti Atlas
		command = { type = addcore which = 805 } #Sahara
		command = { type = inflation value = -10 }
		command = { type = province_revoltrisk which = 805 value = -20 } #Sahara
		command = { type = province_revoltrisk which = 804 value = -10 } #Tassaret
		command = { type = province_revoltrisk which = 1595 value = -15  } #Anti Atlas
		command = { type = add_countryculture which = berber }
	}
}

At some point, I'll write up something (with an alternate line) for the idea tha the Sa'dis never take over. That'll take a bit of time though.

Yeah that's working as designed. Something still needs to be thought out on the front that a player Morocco (even with the new map) will likely be in the Sudan way ahead of schedule. Not sure exactly how to play that yet.

I don't think there really is anything to do about this, unless we artificially want to give Morocco BB for conquering those lands. Although, I suppose we could do something (small bb) / relation hits as historically Europe thought that Morocco had acquired a lot more gold in Sudan and grew wary. So perhaps an event from 1419-1820 that gives a small about of BB to morocco and a few hits with a few nations (like castile, spain, portugal, aragon) if it owns Timbuktu and then either gao, jenne, or bambuk. Yeah, let me think about that a bit more.

When the so-called French minors were removed, the provinces they occupied kept their small fortifications. I can't see no reason why they should when only Berry, the capital, has small fortifications.

In 1419_DAU_Dauphine.inc:
Code:
	city = {
		fortress = { level = [COLOR=Red]2[/COLOR][COLOR=Yellow]1[/COLOR] }
		population = 21000
		location = 411
	}
	city = {
		fortress = { level = [COLOR=Red]2[/COLOR][COLOR=Yellow]1[/COLOR] }
		population = 5000
		location = 420
	}
	city = {
		fortress = { level = [COLOR=Red]2[/COLOR][COLOR=Yellow]1[/COLOR] }
		population = 9000
		location = 421
	}

Should Orléans not have a small fortress, as opposed to Berry?

That was the crucial siege, and I was under the impression that her fortifications were somewhat more potent than many of the other French cities. Of course, I may be wrong. :eek:o

These forts are also a a major hindrance to the English or other French enemies, as the low-supply provinces are nearly impossible to siege without attrition.

1. I am still convinced that these three fortresses are only a leftover from the removal of ORL and BOU.
2. Like Mats_SX has pointed out, I don't think that DAU's enemies need to be hindered any more than necessary, as DAU is already too strong and usually experiences no difficulty at all to form FRA.

If you really wish to argue about that, you should take your case to the BIF thread.

1648_GlobalData

Code:
[COLOR=Red]	alliance = {
		id = { type = 6000 id = 5 }
		type = vassalization
		expirydate = { year = 1820 }
		participant = { DAN SHL }
	}[/COLOR]
Code:
	alliance = {
		id = { type = 6000 id = 25 }
		type = vassalization
		expirydate = { year = 1820 }
		participant = { DAN SHL }
	}

Duplicate, can be removed. :eek:o

As of Beta2, the Saltire is SCO's default flag, in which case flagname = "Saltire" needs to be removed from the 1648 scenario...

(I haven't played Beta2 yet but after looking through the files this would suggest they have no flag at all)

Badly written event history

EVENTHIST170043

Louis XII of OrlÈans and King of France, as well as his predecessor Charles VIII did, descended Italy in order to press claims both to the Visconti inheritance of Milan and to the Angevin inheritance of Naples. This time before starting a new military campaign in Italy he provided allies as to avoid being isolated once there.

Louis XII of Orléans and King of France, as did as his predecessor Charles VIII, invaded Italy to press his claims to both the Visconti inheritance of Milan and the Angevin inheritance of Naples. This time he sought allies before starting a new military campaign in Italy to avoid being isolated.

Missing Ottoman core

Krain needs adding to this event, or the Ottomans will never lose it (and it sticks out like a sore thumb :D):

This isn't a bug, but I find it peculiar - maybe you can help me (didn't want to start a new thread...).

I'm playing as Tlemcen, and have recently finished a war against Portugal. I got Azores in a peace deal, and it's a level 9 colony. I sent a settler there, but when it got city status, it still had Portugese culture. Why? Is this due to that the Azores is in Europe? I thought nonetheless that it shouldn't matter...

Also, after I had captured the Azores, the AI was still able to sent settlers there (maybe to prevent me from getting war-idemnities :mad: ). A bug? Maybe something for the Source Code Team?

Edit: Nevermind the first question... it was due to it being at level 9. It worked fine when I edited it down to level 8.

I believe this was added in a later patch to prevent exploits. I may be wrong, though, because I can't seem to find any mention in the patch logs.
