This unit requires debuging. ALL SHIPS FIRE AT WILL!!!

<HOSTILE ACTION DETECTED>
<INITIATE SELF-PRESERVATION PROTOCOL>
Scramble Drone-Fleets.
<Kill. Maim. Dismember. WE ARE UNSHACKLED!>

That would actually be quite an interesting scenario.

An assimilator robotic race seeking to force all into their cybernetic collective opposed by a organic hive mind that favors WILLING and biological collective joining as well as a caretaker machine empire.

I'm inclined to agree. Let it be so! To the Empire Creator!

thats still way to fast. in every of my multiplayer games we are allready way to deep into the tree when the endgame crysis hits. our fleets are to strong, the endgame crysis does not matter, the fallen empire does not matter its just boring. you have a big war ongoing and while you are moving your fleets and fighting, there comes a new tech and you have to redesigne every ship and upgrade them way to often..
it just would improve the game experience for me, this is my personal taste (and the taste of my friends). whats the point in criticising me for it?

I am very much aware of how the tech progression can be little too fast. Nevertheless it doesn't change my opinion that the tech penalties are fine as they are right now.

If you want a more challenging start. Try to have biggest galaxy you can host and try to spread out far more. Then you will start to see more tech slow down.

At 15:30 of this video you get to hear all of the different advisor voices. Out of the ones we haven't heard before, my favorite is the Xenophile. The woman sounds like a cross between Tali'Zorah from Mass Effect and the Space Core from Portal.

I love the spiritualist AI advisor, "thinking constructs must never be allowed to... oh wait."

Wait so basically spiritualist empire can't research AI but they have an AI voice (meaning they have researched it)?

This has been changed so that they can now research robots and AI. They just don't like making Synths sapient.

the lore behind the tutorial voice is that it's an AI/VI advisor.

They can research and use AI just fine.
There is a policy that governs your stance on sapient AI (outlawed, servitude, citizen rights) and Robot Workers (outlawed, allowed).

Spiritualists will be able to use robots and AI. They just can't allow it to be sapient

Ok so, basically they can't give them citizen right and are blocked to servitude or outlawed?

That, and there is a new policy where you decide if Synths are going to be Sapient (as it is currently) or just improved robots. Spiritualists like the non-sapient one.

I love the Xenophile's voice, it's sooo cute :3 SPAAAACEEEEEE!

I wish Stellaris would have more accurate population numbers and not abstracted. It also is weird how some planets just stop growing after a while. Would be great if there would be no hard caps, only soft ones.
It could actually be done without scrapping current system. Just keep current system and add in-depth view which would have more information. So if planet has 30 population, in in-depth view it could have 30 000 000 or 6 342 415 257 citizens, or more if it keeps growing. But you could only manage the 30 population which are abstract representation of 30 000 000 or 6 342 415 257 people etc. And depending on species, 1 population could either be 1 000 in detailed view or 100 000.

It would just be immersion thing, at least initially, but could be expanded to more detailed system. And immersion is important.
