The Germans were winning when the US entered. They had just signed a peace deal wit Russia that gave them 20% of Russia's land. Poland, Czechoslovakia,Lithuiana,etc.

The British in particular had many more reserves (at home and around the commonwealth) to call on and would have certainly beeen able to conclude the War without American entry.
The German would have no doubt been less keen to Surrender and war probably wouldn;t have finished until mid 1919. In 1917 -18 the Germans were completely out of food etc... so war couldn;t have lasted much longer.

Yeah, it was the Lucitania that was the final straw as far as the American shipping was concerned. That was their Cassus Belli, but many American ships were sunk before. It was the first after America issued an ultimatum to Germany saying that they should sink no more American ships. It also happened to be a ship filled with passengers, not goods, and I think it was heading towards America, not Britain. I'm not sure about that bit though. The Germans were also told that this ship was heading out a few weeks before she was sunk. That is why America said they entered.

The reason Russia surrendered was because of a popular revolution set up by the Germans, who sent a young exiled Lenin through Finland to Russia. He arrived after the revolution started, but was the main driving force behind it. I don't know if you'd want to put this into the game?

I have not heard any news or recieved any information about work on the mod from anyone for some time... there seems to be a certain lack of interest.
I have decided to do no further work on the scenario.
It can still be downloaded in it's current form through my website. Should they feel inclined, any person is free to continue working on this modification.

I'm workin on the units as we speak, however it takes me longer than I expected. Gotta get everything right.
About the resource.bmp, let me know what new resources you want and I can make it this weekend. Otherwise I'll upload it to my site.
Hey does anyone remember this scenario, was lots of complicated fun trying a mod... Is anyone who helped me still on the forum? I left the hsoting isp years ago but it is still up haha. Cheers, Bart.

The download doesn't have a scenario folder when I'm done unzipping it. Nor does it have a a notepad. Just a (eug?) file. Would be cool if it worked though! Hey English pirate dude, is 6 months young enough to respond to a thread?

I hate to see hundred mods about the same and no one really finished. In the beginning are big eyes and then ........ oh well, let see how far abbc and his team will get.

I suggested them using this mod as a basic stone for their beginning. It'll be easier to finish it, I think.
So the Vonsson's mod and future abbc's mod could be later merged in one better mod of the WW's times.
