When vanilla with no mods the average is 16-22 gb usage with mods it's 19-30
Sorry, I remembered wrong - I see 8.7gb having just started a new game at the first start date. I have all DLCs but no mods.

How you can get double that on the identical game version I cannot see!

What if you make a new Window user profile on this PC and try the game under that?

Thank you for this. This helped me a lot.

Pardox Devs! , Any updates regarding an actual fix to the 24h2 issue? Luckily running things in Vulcan from the setting options has fixed my hardlock on PC issue when game is initializing, but I would prefer to play with DX 11.

of course no. players who gave a lot of money need to wait another 3 months for 24h3 to come out

I'd like to add to the latest posts: the 24H2 issue seems to have become much, much more pressing since the Nomad DLC came out. I wasn't aware of it before, only had a crash a day sometimes. But the game became almost incapable of initializing, and its performance cratered until I editted the registry as per the sticky's instructions. This is something CK3 players are gonna have to talk about a lot until Windows itself updates things. Clean installs and driver updates cannot solve the issue.

I haven't noticed anyone say this, but pre-Khan's update, I had a memory leak freeze occur when using Vulkan (tried that fix and seems it didn't work). And I just experienced my very first of this same issue post-Khan update. Done all the recommended steps, including the OP of this thread, to no avail. While there were certainly issues with 24H2 at the start, I did notice a performance increase and improvement with a patch some time back. Only this game and Delta Force have this issue. I have never encountered a memory freeze with any other title, and that includes EU4 and Stellaris. I hope that this issue does get fixed as I absolutely love CK3, drilled hundreds of hours into it, but now I can't enjoy it cause I don't know when a session could be remotely more than 10 to 20 mins long or less.

THIS ISSUE HAS NOW BEEN MOVED HERE TO REINFORCE THE ISSUE WITH THE DEV TEAM!

This may have some fixes. not 100% fool proof but it may have the fixes that maybe relevant. I am trying to make a mega thread for Paradox so they know this is a massive issue and for some reason haven't made a mega thread (because logic)

FINALMENTE ENCONTRÉ UN PROBLEMA
Después de hacer muchas cosas,

Uno era el bueno:
Una entrada de registro como de costumbre

Agregue un valor QWORD(x64) en
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorPort

Política de asignación de Hmb nombrada
Valor 0 (predeterminado)

De hecho, este valor evita una pérdida de memoria que causa los fallos encontrados.

Por primera vez, no hubo fallos ni pérdidas de memoria durante un largo día.

Disfrútala
where should it be entered?

I FINALLY FOUND AN ISSUE
After doing a lot a thing,

One was the good one:
A registry entry as usual

Add a QWORD(x64) value in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorPort

Named HmbAllocationPolicy
Value 0 (default)

In fact, this value avoid a memory leak wich causes the crashes encountered

FOr the first time, no crash nor memory leak for a long day

Enjoy it
Hello, as I am not very good at computers, can you explain in more detail or make an explanatory video of this tip please?
