CTD's:

Well got my first CTD with 1.01. Will see if it's a consistent one or not. WIll know soon. I've had consistent CTD's with 1.0 (meaning it owuld always happen at a certain point), but 1.01 seemd to fix that.

I really hate these, they are so without warning!

Johan told a moment ago that they are trying to come up with a 1.02, or at least a smaller bugfix pack, soonish, preferably this weekend.

Let me just second (third? fifteenth?) the sentiment here.

Playing my first ever game. Duke of Gwynedd-->King of Wales, not long past 1100. Saved game just to try out some of the buttons I hadn't had a chance to push yet (revoking titles and the like) just for fun. Went back to reload and all CTD. The created file and BOTH autosaves fail every time.

Frustrating is an understatement. If this is common, the game is unplayable as I don't have 200 hours in a row to keep playing without saving.

Which of course assumes no OTHER CTD issues.

I had a similar experience as King of England. It happened when I tried to reload after I'd created the title King of Wales. Is there some problem with having two King titles vest in the same person? I recall hearing something about that, but I can't find the thread.

I can only agree as said above. I planned a small LAN with three friends of mine on saturday. I know that this is very courageous, especially because to the present day it still isn't running even in singleplayer, but on the other hand this will be some kind of ultimate "test" for the 1.02 Patch (as long as it really comes this weekend)
Hopefully this will be great fun...(or great disappointment)

So now the 1.02 Patch is there...we will see what happens...
I'm especially excited about my old corrupt saves...but I fear I have to start anew...as long as it works: Halleluja!

Hi there.

There is now a 1.02 patch which should resolve 99% of these issues so I'd ask anyone who experiences a CTD with 1.02 to begin a new, unique thread detailing exactly the circumstances of your crash. Please DO NOT post a new thread if you load a 1.01 save game in 1.02 and it either crashes on load or crashes anytime thereafter since we cannot guarantee the compatibility between the two. ONLY post about a CTD if you experience one with a fresh game played entirely under 1.02.
