"In 782, Yazid of the Sulamid Emirate rose up in rebellion against Al-Hadi after the caliph tried to revoke his titles. The Nestorian Christian Patriarch of the East, Denha, supported Yazid in his rebellion but it was futile. The Abbasid forces were overwhelmingly superior in number and the best example of this was the Battle of Mafraq where the caliph's brother, Emir Harun al-Rashid of Mosul, commanded over 10,000 men and defeated a small rebel army led by Mayor Fadl of Maraclea."

"After the Siege of Nikaea ended, the rebel Taxiarches of Opsikion's wife Eugenia Stachytzes and their 11 years old son Gregorios were taken as prisoners of war. Eugenia would die at the age of 43 on 24 June 782 in the dungeons of Basileus Manthos. The death of his wife made Taxiarches further emboldened in his quest to overthrow Manthos and install Anthimos Isauros as the next basileus. Manthos became a widely-hated man after Eugenia's death. While many Byzantine nobles now felt pity for Taxiarches and some even joined his cause, most of them decided that Anthimos was unfit to be basileus due to his lunacy. The lunatic's own brother-in-law, Theodotos of Anatolia, declared a new rebellion against Manthos to install Anthimos' younger brother Eudokimos Isauros, who was just 15, as the next basileus."

Siptri's regent, Priestess Dongkar of Dzongsar who held the actual power in the Bon petty kingdom, refused the demand and war erupted between the two states. The tsenpo's brother, Thupo Purgyal Mutik of Yarlung, led the Tibetan invasion force and routed the army of Dege led by Siptri's educator Zimun."

"In 782, the Battle of Umapur took place in the Rashtrakuta Kingdom between loyalists led by Thakur Asaga of Thalner and rebel forces under the command of Govinda Rashtrakuta; who is not to be confused with Maharaja Govinda. This Govinda was the third son of Dhruva of Konkana and thus, the maharaja's nephew. With around 5,000 men compared to something between 3,000 to 4,000 for the rebels, the loyalists intially had the upper hand in the battle but were defeated by the rebels at the end of the day. Even though they lost the battle, the loyalists managed to capture Dhruva's eldest son Sthamba and he would die in his uncle's dungeons on 19 August at the age of 43."

"In 782, Maharaja Vajrayudha the Purifier's forces took seven valuable hostages after the Siege of Jhunjhunu. All seven hostages were members of the Rajput Guhilot family. Old Thakur Krishna of Vairata, patriarch of the Guhilot family and a vassal of Raja Gopendraraja of Chauhan Raj who in turn was a vassal of Maharaja Vinyakpala of the Pratihara Kingdom, had somehow managed to escape with his concubine Kalayandevi. On the other hand, the thakur's wife Kakanvati and their three sons Sankaragana, Khetrapal and Dhruvasena were captured in the aftermath of the siege. The thakur's daughter Delhanadevi from his concubine as well as Sankaragana's wife Dhruvadevi and son Krishna also became prisoners of the Purifier."
