The Umayyads might end up expanding in Europe. The collapse of East Francia certainly makes their job easier.

The Khazar-Byzantine War is still a stalemate.

The Abbasid Caliph isn't trying to murder the kid? Just his wife? That's kind of weird, actually.

Yeah, he is just planning to murder his wife and not the bastard.

It seems like the Umayyads have been making too many enemies... although it hasn't come back to bite them. Yet.

Hopefully, East Francia can recover from the colossal misrule of the Satanic Merovech.

The Franks are not having a good time, Charlemagne kicked the bucket at a rather young age and didn't accomplish much and his son was so scandalous and unpopular it's not at all surprising that he was murdered. Hopefully Marell is able to make the realm rebound.

The Umayyads seem to have succeeded in taking all of Iberia, but they have to watch out for enemies both to the north and south.

Byzantines are not having a great time either, dealing with revolts quite often.

Tibet is doing okay but in a vulnerable position with the Western Protectorate right next to them and them having a child in power.

"On 23 February 808, King Marell of East Francia died of severe stress at the age of 27 just two years into his reign. His four years old daughter Faregildis thus became the Queen of East Francia. During this year, eight battles took place between the invading Norsemen and the Franks who were now being aided by several neighboring Christian rulers. Let us start with Poligny where an ambush laid by the Occitan Duke Doumenge the Seducer of Auvergne failed to deal any damage to the Norsemen. The ambush led by Frankish Duke Clodio of Dauphine at Layre against a large army of Norse warriors under the command of King Kettil the Wise himself was met with similar results to Poligny. Duke Clodio would be defeated again at Arles by a Norse invasion force under the command of Thorbrand of Oland. This Thorbrand, however, was soon defeated by Mayor Godomar of Nemours, a vassal of the eight years old boy King Childreic III of France and commander of a united Frankish army, at the Battle of Frejus and made a prisoner of Queen Faregildis. The mayor and the united Frankish force were victorious again at Basel against the army of Jarl Budli of Smaland. At Lausanne, however, a Sami warrior named Ahkemiella led the Norsemen to victory against Duke Clodio of Dauphine, who is mentioned here in historical records for the last time before his mysterious death on 12 October 808 at the age of 24. The Sami warrior Ahkemiella and his band of Norsemen would be defeated at Echallens by an Occitan unit under the command of their Duke Doumenge the Seducer. The year ended with a major battle between the two sides taking place at Luxeuil. The Norsemen were more than 7,000 in numbers while a thousand more Franks were present at the battle. Baron Gautmar of Tafalla, a brilliant strategist, led the Franks to victory against the Norse invaders, who lost half of their men in this battle."

I dunno about you guys but I am loving the united Frankish army (the three kingdoms of East Francia, France and Austrasia plus independent duchies such as Dauphine or Toulouse). What's funny is most of these Frankish dukes became independent by rebelling against Merovech the Ill-Ruler (even the Kingdom of Austrasia was taken from Merovech by Theoderic the Usurper in 788 and four years before that, the Kingdom of West Francia now France had became indepdent just five days after Merovech had inherited his father Charlemagne's titles...he really was the Ill-Ruler right from his boyhood).

Yeah, the Lombards of Italy and the Occitan dukes (some of whom have been mentioned in the posts) and even this random Christian Pomeranian high chief are also technically in the war against the Norsemen but most of the heavy lifting is being done by the united army of Frankish states.
