Yeah...yeah...keep on clinging to your dreams, desperately. I couldn't care less. I just wanted to point out facts, not start a discussion. And I definitely don't want to theorize on anything that might remotely look like a clue. Because if we go that far, I'll just recite the ending of a Dance of Dragon and oh boy, what a chosen one he is with that happening to him. Classic Targaryen....

Hahahahaha! I enjoy you, sir

There are four main theories:

Ashara Dayne

Wylla the Wetnurse

Fishermans daughter

Lyanna

Wylla and the fishermans daugther are confirmed by characters, however Ned could be lying and Borrell mistaken. I think that Lyanna did have a child, a sickly girl, who Ned swapped for Brandons son by Ashara Dayne (Jon). The girl died, and Ashara either commited suicide over Ned taking her baby or went across the narrow sea to serve Rhaegars son.

Ok, for the people who actually believe this theory, if you read the books, you find out who Jon Snow's actual mother is, and I'll give you a hint, it's not Lyanna

I've read the books, as have most people posting in this thread.

You do not find out who Jon Snow's actual mother is.

If you care to prove me wrong, bring on the citations.

This conversation makes me want GRRM to do this............http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7lp3RhzfgI
Honestly, I think GRRM shouldn't only care to live to see the end of his series but he should also be concerned with his mental abilities. I just read, that he may consider to write an eighth volume, if necessary to end the story properly, and that probably the sixth and seventh novel will have 1500+ pages. Taking that and his writing speed in mind, even if he has still many years to live, he won't finish before age will take its toll on his wits.

make up stuff and write it on forums without any source!

interviews with GRRM, if you follow the development closely you would know that he actualy said that he hopes to finish the series with 7 books but can't promise it.

actually chances are in the Tower of Joy Event that Rhaegar and Lyana have a kid (which is showed as a kid of both of them in the game as well, NOT a kid that MIGHT be theirs ;).
When Robert wins the Rebellion, the Tower of Joy event chain starts. I have yet to check it out as Ned Stark, so I do not know what text exactly is presented to him, but I know from my game as Robert Baratheon, that chances are silly Ned will lose his duel with Arthur Dayne, and all his Party die at the Tower of Joy.
If this happens, Robert gets told the outcome in an event, automatically divorces Lyana (since Arthur Dayne and Gerion Hightower manage to flee across the narrow Sea with her, as planned by Rhaegar for the worst case)and Lyana has a legitimate Targaryen Bastard from Rhaegar.

To top all weirdness, in my game this boy became Lord of the North right away since Benjen stark had been appointed to my Kingsguard and Ned had no other male heir left. Thank the gods I had met a faceless man before, otherwise Robert would have been F*****g pissed about another Targaryen in charge after him wiping them all out.
Also you can re-marry Lyana right away, since the Pentoshi don't seem to have any objections to it once she's listed in their court.

Well it wasn't a duel, 7 on 3, with Holland Reed saving the life of Ned shows that it was hardly a fair fight, but LMAO, I never considered that to be an outcome.

I've played Ned twice now, but both times Robert died before I could assist him.

As far as I noticed Tower of Joy triggers (surprise surprise) when Robert wins his Rebellion.
An playing as Ned I got to find out that the actual OUTCOME of the event is not displayed to the player, for some reason.

The event works fine, no matter the outcome (I reloaded several times to see what happens if Dayne slays all my men), but a pop-up like "Now the Kingsguard are all dead, I will safe her....but no, what is that?" or, different outcome "Due to my failure Robert will now have to live without her...not that this will matter to me anymore" would be really nice since right now, I was waiting for like three months for the event to continue, only to then see in the character pages Lyana was happily married to Robert (and again had a legitimate Targaryen bastard, but he didn't seem to mind that. Guess she judged him wrong in the books ;).
same goes for the other option, I win all duels, wait for months, nothing happens until I check my family tab to notice Lyana died and I, Ned now have a bastard (which the AI again named Joffrey. Oh cruel world)

So I'd guess in the end of line something is missing to trigger the correct messages (as mentioned, the effects take place as intended no matter what option the game chooses to happen), since with all the love put in the detail and quest-texts I highly doubt the mod-team did not bother to create one more popup telling Ned he finds his dead sister- after all Robert gets his popup just fine in the end of the event.

On a further sidenote, Theon Greyjoy 18 Martial? Like , really? I was already wondering about Catelyn being proud (where she actually should be humble) and Cersei being Gregarious (where she should be, well, Paranoid at least), but 18 Martial Skill for Theon breaks with the lore way too hard imo.

Theon is shown as being a competent warrior, and taking Winterfell took real skill. Several people comment on Catelyn and the Starks in general as being "proud" or "haughty," including her sister, and Cersei has excellent social skills and can be extremely charming when she chooses to be. Though I agree she should also be Paranoid.

You might want to post it to AGOT Bug Reporting thread.
