Still a problem in 1.10.1. I know it's not in the patch notes, but I've seen bugs get "silently" fixed sometimes despite not being in the changelog. It's at the point I am literally only firing the game up each update to see if this bug has been fixed. :(

Exiting and re-entering the game makes the sounds go away. That's probably also why QA can't confirm from save files. But it's easy enough to test: just host or attend a tournament and then complete it. The sounds stick around every single time.

Ok, I have a solution for this mess.
Its a workaround that involves deleting some files or simply moving them.
Download Fmod Bank tools from nexusmods: https://www.nexusmods.com/rugbyleaguelive3/mods/2?tab=files
Make certain you download the old version 0.0.1.4, not the new one, the newest is bugged.

Tool looks like this when opened

Make a backup of ep2.bank inside the folder Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\game\sound\banks
Copy over ep2.bank to the bank folder for the tool.

Open the tool, click extract.

Go to folder wav\ep2
Scroll down until you see these files. Delete them or move them from the folder. The annoying shout sound is ck3_ep2_crowds_LOOPS_02.
But I wanted to be on safe side, I deleted all of them.

When the files are deleted/moved away, back to the program.
Click rebuild, it will open up a new program that runs in cmd.exe

When the popup all done comes the operation is completed. Copy over the new ep2.bank file to the original folder
Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\game\sound\banks

Now you can experience tournaments without crowds shouting and cheering.

Thanks for the fix instructions and taking the time to post this. I'm debating whether it's worth going full Nexus and removing files to fix this, but at this point I'm not sure if this will ever be fixed. It seems like it's more complicated for the devs than originally anticipated. I think I will do all of this so that I can go to tourneys again. With all the mods I run it takes about 3 minutes each time to close/reload a save to remove the ambient noise.

On a 1 to 10 scale of how much pain this is causing, I'm at a 9. It's literally reason enough to never host or attend tournaments. I stopped playing because of this. I can't take any more of the "Yep YEP YEAH!" guy for the rest of the game any time I open the Tournament screen.

Devs: You can recreate this simply by finishing a tournament. If it's more complicated than a missing line of code that halts the ambient .wav file, can we at least see this acknowledged as a "Known Issue", considering this thread has been marked as "Confirmed".

With the launch of 1.10.2 I can confirm this bug is still present.

Fully agree. The tourney ambience is ruined for me. Even once this gets fixed, when I hear it playing normally, as it should, I'll still have a sour taste in my mouth for how long I've been forced to listen to it.

I know this feeling. You could implement my guide for fixing the issue. No more cheering or tournament shouts.
Its a shame it was the only feasible solution. By deleting the specific sounds.

This could possibly be the reason why its not fixed.
Paradox are looking for a sound designer.

I'm no expert about sound but could it be that a loop flag got set in the metadata for this sound ? Looping it forever instead of a couple of time ? (Or not looping at all)
