Say, I'm a little worried about these massive debts that some players have accrued, as they'll all take decades, if not centuries, to repay, and in at least some cases, they've come about by event, not any poor strategy on the part of the players (btw, which even caused this anyway?) What do we want to do, if anything?

well... with my 25 gold per month, i'm thinking of bankrolling Ireland (on condition it becomes vassal), there is no strings attached ;) as I have 0% Scrutanige.)

You're planning on bankrolling the drunk Irishman? Well, I suppose if he repays you in Guinness, it could be a good investment...

As for the debt situation, CSK just seems to be unfortunate in that no events have fired that have helped him eliminate his debt. Oka was saved by the Estates General event and I was saved by the AI forcefully selling off my libraries and my decision to extort the Jews.

Uhm, it's getting better after all. I still have -2950 or so, but I get around 20 gold per month now and I certainly will get an estates general in the next session. So I think that's ok.

After all there's no danger around me, being between Russia and the Seljuks.

Sure, is there some way to post saves on this forum?

Easiest method is to upload the save at rapidshare.de and then post the link on this forum.

Well, you can keep on dreaming. The Irish bow to no foreigner! Éirinn go Brách!

Unless they want to...

Yes I am; to quote myself:

Which doesn't mean that i'm loyal or that I'll remain his vassal for long.... har har har... ;)

I'm getting insanely excited at the prospect of this game reaching Ricky (or even HoI2!). 'Tis a shame that it will take so long...but at least my Saturday's will be thoroughly occupied for the next year :)

... I suck in EU2, I am absolutely stupid in Victoria, but I pwn in HOI2... :D I guess i'll have to keep a low profile.

I've put a grand total of 5 hours into EU2 over a 3 year period so it looks like I'm going to have to take a crash EU2 course in the near future. I've spent a little more time with Ricky and pretty much turned HoI2 into a full-time job over the summer vacation (since I couldn't find a real full-time job). So I feel pretty confident that I'll do relatively well when we get there, provided I can survive the EU2 years (which is definitely up for debate)

You do know that even with the most stable long lasting sessions we will have to play the next year or so until we even reach EU2? Until then all of us should be good enough and have learnt how to play it.

Speak for yourself. M2:TW is coming out in a month and SH4 a few months after that.

Just kidding. I'll devote the necessary time to EU2. If only I could get credit for it...

Btw, according to my calculations, we should be finished in roughly 30 weeks. So about 7 months. Which is good, because I'm not sure I could stay in this game for another 4 years (!).

EDIT: Here's the link to the EU2 Wiki. Should give the novices out there a leg up.

Any other means for the rapidshare deprived?

Byzantium being human would certainly make things interesting. I'd also like to see a player in Poland, Hungary or even Croatia, just to make Eastern and Central Europe a bit more dynamic.

Do a Google search for "file sharing" or "file server" and use one of the results. Or, just zip it up and email it to me. I'll upload it on rapidshare.

It's looking like I could be a tad late to our session this Saturday, 30 minutes at most. If that happens I'll join up on the first rehost.

Uhm, I once again need a sub for the next two sessions. :eek:o My gaming PC is broken, my second ok PC has no working connection to the internet and the one I'm writing on is a laptop with 700 Mhz. And next week I'll be in Salzburg. Oh well, I already thought if it wouldn't be better for me to stop playing, after all I probably won't be in the game for half the sessions. :(

Sorry for not writing for the past several days as my internet does not work for the moment. I will most likely not be able to play this week. but hopefully i will play the week after.

Not a problem.

It's getting to be that time again. CSK and Emp are out. I'll be there but possibly a few minutes late. Who else can make it tomorrow?
