Anyone for an MP game?

I think I can make it, but I'll have to leave at 1900, possibly earlier.

Anyone else able to make it for sure? So far it looks like we just have just two players able to play out the session, which makes me wonder if we should skip this week...

Edit: Say, I reckon it's worth starting a diplomacy thread, so I'm gonna go do that.

I agree, I need somewhere to set up an update page (saves time making AAR Maps and stuff). Go ahead :D

I'd say if we can get 3 for the entire time, we should go for it. Anything under 3 full-timers probably wouldn't work. We still have yet to hear back from Ganso and Shuma. Hopefully one of them will be able to play.

Oka, how late are you going to be?

Ok, that shouldn't be a problem. Fas can make it for 3 hours, so if we can get one more player I'd say we should go ahead.

If not, however, I do know that King of Men is usually looking for players for his game (they're in the Vicky stage currently) that runs approximately the same time as ours. I've told him that I can sub if our game doesn't happen tomorrow and I'm sure he's looking for more (2 of their main countries are currently AI'd), so if our game doesn't get off the ground tomorrow you can still get your MP fix in, as long as you don't mind Vicky :) Hopefully it won't come to that, however.

EDIT: Sorry Fas, the whole BST/GMT difference tends to confuse me.

Hey guys.

Sorry I didn't remember to come and write here sooner.

Anyway, as thrilled I was about the start of this game, my enthusiasm has kind of evaporated with me not playing at all up to this point. The idea of getting in on the game now when you guys have gone so far ahead just doesn't appeal to me. I have a lot of stuff to do this weekend, and it seems I will only be getting busier in the future, and with my enthusiasm gone, I just don't feel like juggling things around so I can come and play.

So in short, I won't be joining you today, nor do I see myself doing so in the near future. I hope you guys continue to have a great game, and I will be watching your AAR thread closely!

@Shuma: i've joined later and changed family two times and even if i'm not one of the "high nobs" I still feel that the game is enticing. Hope you find something interesting to do mate. ;)

OK mates, i'm calling it quits. The game keeps CTD'ing on me and my game experience has been pretty bad (no death warnings, my character gets a heretic trait out of air, my Duchy implodes so that I only have 1 demesne, etc...)

It's been fun, hope to play with you guys on another opportunity.
 
Question on game situation.

I'd like to pose a question to all players in this MP game, current, past, and future. It looks like we're down to only 3 players (Ganso imploded and has said he's done, Shuma has said he's out b/c of the progression so far, and CSK has made it sound like he's out due to implosion as well...and rsobota hasn't been heard from in some time). This is after only 36 years of gameplay. Who would be up for a complete restart of the game? I'm not a fan of throwing out the past 4 weeks, especially when I'm this close to the German throne; at the same time, with the current rate of attrition we'll be lucky to finish CK, let alone make it to Vicky or HoI2. I'd like to get everyone's thoughts on the matter. I'm open to both options. I'd like to hear what the current players would think about a restart and whether the past and future players would join up. Obviously there'd be no point to a restart if it was just 3 of us again :p So, thoughts? Comments? Questions?
 
I'd join if the game restarted but let me make this clear: bugs ruined my game, it's not a matter of "oh, i'm a poor duchy".
 
Sorry pals, but I'm lacking time and patience to continue this game. I thought I would have time, but now I'm busy with school work and I promised my dad I would translate some of his work (I get ca$h for that) so I'll only be able to post at this forum. Sorry for not telling I would be out last session :(.


I can still continue as a Grand Master, though, and I would like to see this game progressing. Do we want a restart, the game progressing or unfortunately being abandoned? I'll be waiting for your decisions.
 
I'd prefer not to re-start. I think it'd be a waste of an interesting 36 years.

Something that might make the game more stable is if we had fewer events on file, as that's the heaviest load on the engine.

Hmm, sorry it took me so long to answer. The thing is, it's not about me being the duke of yadda-yadda when I join, and fasq being the king of rus, manstein almost the king of germany... it's about all that being accomplished in 36 years, won't be much to do later :D I think it might be wise that for the next MP game that starts, the difficulty be put to very hard and some more serious restrictions on heathen bashing be implemented.

That being said, I can't promise right now that I would be able to play regularly if you guys restarted, and it seems neither will CSK or rsobota be able too right away, so I say you should go on with your game.

Should you at any time be bored with it or anything, and want to start a new one, I'll seriously consider it (PM me then, cos I don't know if i'll be checking this part of the forum)
