Let's everyone defrag our drives before next session because someone here in the MP forums has recommended it. This way we can stop some crashes during the game.

That reminds me, could someone post a link to that LAN emulator program, and we can all have a look at it over the week?

The problem is that perhaps we have to restart our games in order to play with it. Many people do actually use Hamachi to play a variety of games, but as I don't play MP too freqeuntly, I don't know anything deeper about it.

HOLD ON, Sicily got taken over by a PLAYER!?!? Oh bother, this will be work. I wold prefer anyhow if the leader of the game start the AAR thread... :)

Also I kicked your arse YES, but I didn't annex any territories because you have all the damn claims...
 
Hey guys! Here I am in my new apartment, with the internet and all setup (obviously). So hopefully I'll be able to join next session.

I'm glad to hear you managed to play yesterday, am looking forward to seeing the AAR. I suggest everyone who feels up to it writes the AAR, so we get multiple points of view each session. How much time has passed in the first session? And could whoever has the savefile check that Tulouse hasn't grown too much, so that I can play it.

Btw, the Hamachi program that was mentioned earlier is superb. I've been using it to play a lot of games with my friends. Maybe it would be better if we used that for connecting, and avoid valkyrienet. It's pretty simple to use. Someone, for example rsobota, creates a channel, and then sends the name and password to everyone, and we then have our own small LAN. The channel is permanent, and you connect to it automaticaly when you start Hamachi.

i'm bloody shy to post my AAR on the AAR thread as it'll look well corny if a player starts the process... I want rosbota to start the thread as he is king/host...

The game went for about 25 years, the different player locations is bound to make the game VERY interesting (i'm thinking about Apulia/Catalonia). So... you are going to take over as Touslouse?

(going to check out Hamachi...)

I was waiting for you to start the AAR. You and CSK seem to have already clear things to post while I still have to rember all my game and write the whole thing. OK, I will post a thread in the AAR section, then you will feel free to post your AAR's there.
 
I can't wait to post my AAR. "I started as Swabia but got bloody bored after the King stole my conquests in the North so I switched to a Danish duchy. But that got bloody boring on an income of 1 gold per month, so I switched to another Danish duchy. But after a CTD I discovered the AI in my absence had spent 300 gold that didn't exist on transporting troops across the Baltic, so I switched to Saxony. And the game ended a few minutes later. Hooray."
