Poor Wildy, I knew him not. Nor shall I miss his presence at meat nor mead. So long, poor Wildy.

;)

Parents from Chile and Brazil, grandfather from Italy and married to an Irish man .

What kind of music (if any but Falalalan) do you listen to?
I listen to a lot of Classic Rock, favorite band: The Doors.

Brazil and The Doors?! We have at least two things in common! :D

Probably already asked, but i've heard of people "finding" games, like getting them for free...

What happens if you "find" a game, if this is even true.

Like Moredrug I'm sceptical of that statement. It's bad enough I'm not able to browse certain subforums, I don't fancy being covertly accused of piracy as well, that's just bad form.

Well either you lost your CD key (a valid excuse), you're way too lazy to register it, or you have some crazy set of standards that any type of registration is evil and you're making some kind of stand.

Except for the first excuse, the other 2 are just bad form as well.

During the 200k celebration, Paradox people will post codes that gives you a free game on gamersgate.

I know there are two of those codes for HoI3 right now. ;)

The PI games published in Russia (localized by Snowball, published by 1C) (prior HoI3 I guess, HttT was lent to me by a friend:)) do not have any registration code. So I possess HoI2, DD, Arma, Vic, Vic:Rev, CKDV (even HoI1!) and can't reflect it by having icons. (For Diplomacy I do have one, however). I hereby declare, I'm not a pirate.

So here's a question.
Is there a way to get icons for these games?

Thanks!

Well I guess that would be a 2nd valid reason. ;)

You might try contacting either Snowball or 1C and see if they could provide you with the keys or at least get them talking to PI about it. :)

That if someone has not registered a game, he's extremely likely to not have bought it.

I myself haven't registered more games than I have to [note I received the 200k club membership as I bought Vic: rev (and it's not registered), the EU3 avatar I've had for years, registered the EU3 avatar as I wanted to enter OT before you opened it up for veterans again].

Isn't it more likely that new people that don't stay are the ones that most likely haven't bought the game - and said people are usually more notable as they are usually the most vocal in stranger ways?

Yes, because THAT argument hasn't been had to death already.
And what argument would that be! I just oppose being called a pirate.

To my knowledge it does not say I have to endure slander because I do not register all my games, simply that I forfeit some of the benefits!

Now, can we all please return to the discussion at hand?

All these older games there have no code. No worries.

answer my question too plz =] ive wondered about it for a while

Johan already stated previously in the thread that Civ already does the "entire history" thing rather well, so why would we copy them?
I realize you said that we should include ALL relevant features, but then again, there is a mod to continue the save game through several of our games, you could just use that?
