Hey, do you want to give us nightmares? :/

Johan already stated previously in the thread that Civ already does the "entire history" thing rather well, so why would we copy them?
I realize you said that we should include ALL relevant features, but then again, there is a mod to continue the save game through several of our games, you could just use that?

There is no mod for it, but there is a whole bunch of different conversion programs for various Paradox games, however most of them (for pre EU3-games) are broken and pretty useless, or just don't cover enough issues. You have to do a lot of editing the scenario, events, and the save game yourself to make it even remotely playable.

All these older games there have no code. No worries.

I can be calm then:)

Heh... I wanted that cork helmet... and the nuke blast...

Like Moredrug I'm sceptical of that statement. It's bad enough I'm not able to browse certain subforums, I don't fancy being covertly accused of piracy as well, that's just bad form.

If someone have no registrations at all, that is an indicator. Not saying that everyone without registrations are pirates, but much more common among them. Not that strange though, right? We do have to investigate this from time to time, so we are speaking from experience.

Edit: Oh! Most fun is when someone have no registration and complains about a bug and the registration requirement, and the bug only happens in pirated versions. True story!

Is inter-office dating allowed?

If so, who is?

Would anybody like a kitten?

Here are some fun questions :

1. Will you try SW:TOR (http://www.swtor.com/)
2. If so, what faction will you try?
3. What class in that faction do you like most?

/F

YES! (Almost used several exclamation marks, that is how excited I am)
2. All they have and will have in the future.
3. Don't know, I don't want to research those things this far ahead in time, I want it to feel "fresh" when I start playing. Then I'll research like crazy.

I know you guys often hang out at the pub talking about games or what have you, and thus may often engage in group activities, so I must ask -

What is the most fun adventure you all have been on, and were sombreros involved?

The future. :D
That's not history yet? Oh well, the Renaissance then.

Would you lot ever consider/wanted making in "in house" game based on the (a?) Future, or a fictional timeline?

I haven't even realized till now that not having a registration icon behind your avatar might get you been suspected of piracy. Personally I have two box version games (EU2 and CK) and have never stolen software in any form (not music, not movies etc).

looking back at when you began and now, how does it feel to be a globallly acclaimed developer and (more recently) publisher?

When we first started, I used to burn CD's on my laptop and send to journalists, one by one. Fredrik and I used to handle all the print, all the sales, all the marketing and distribution on our own. The development team produced good products but very much had their "developer goggles" on, not able to see beyond the particular task at hand. When we first started doing 3rd party titles we had to chase people to even get them to listen to us.

These days we have a development team refered to as the masters of Grand Strategy and who others attempt to copy. People chase us because they want us to publish their games, the top guys from some of the most influential companies in the gaming industry fly to Sweden in the middle of freezing winter just to attend our functions.

There's quite a few of us still with Paradox after so many years and there's good reason for it. Pride just doesn't cover how I personally feel about what Paradox is today. I don't think there are a lot of companies like ours in the industry, in fact - in any industry. And I can honestly say that with the hard work we put in, nobody deserves success more :).

I have a question for you guys. I answer yes without blinking, which my girlfriend really hates.

You are on your way home late at night. You are almost home and your street is strangely deserted. Suddenly a bright light and the Millenium Falcon lands next to you and Han Solo appears. He asks you if you want to come and fly off to a Galaxy Far Far Away. There is no time to say goodbye to loved ones. This is your chance.

Do you leave?
YES! :D

Questions: Do you have any game ideas or subjects of which you'd like to do a game some day?

What are your favorite countries to play in EU3?

During the 200k celebration, Paradox people will post codes that gives you a free game on gamersgate.

I know there are two of those codes for HoI3 right now. ;)

You mean you know where those codes are? Do share, brother, I've been in doubt whether to get HTTT or HoI 3, and I'm going with HTTT. If it was possible to get HoI 3 too... ;)

Those codes are more like one time things I believe, so the fastest person to grab it gets a free game.

The only problem is that your games, which are distributed by other companies in some countries, don't have any registration keys. In the future, could you FORCE those publishers to add one? This would solve this, and make many people happier.
