Have you ever thought to make a political simulation game to realistically simulate differences between economic and political systems in the world? Something like capitalism vs socialism?

Or maybe a game that simulates the USSR/USA and puts the player in the top of the Politburo or Government?

You mean, like Victoria 2?

It happens. How often I wouldn't know, we don't check up on each other like that. I do know of a few patches that were made completely off work hours though.

Wow..then it must make the Devs really angry when some say, that the last patch was "crap". :(

I don't know about nowadays, but I believe the last three (possibly four) patches for EU2 were developed by Johan on weekends.

Actually, basically all patches before hoi2 was done on my spare time..

Man! Seems you had way to much spare time in the past :D

nah, did on saturdays and sundays or so... I stopped doing it sometime around hoi1 or victoria1 or so when there was too much complaints constantly. Since then I only work on patches when we have budgets for it, or if a community makes me really like them, or I like the game.

I know Doomdark likes fiddling with Rome:VV on his spare time, and I've been seen doing eu3 fixes as well.

Johan, what are some of your favorite non-paradox games?

Dunno.. I used to play wow alot..

Haven't been any good strategygames released since Civ4 though, that I haven't made myself.

Looking forward to SC2 this month, and hoping civ5 is great.

I am sure, Civ 5 will be great. Sid never disappointed me. And i am a Civ Fan since part 1 came out. Was the game with the most hours i ever played. Must be thousends. Well i was young..and in school that time. Only Ultima 4 and 5 came close to such amount of hours.

Always liked the easy to learn, hard to master feeling. Also the way the AI tried to fight with me. Even friendships with other nations feeled real. Sid is a Master in giving the Player the feeling..that the AI is alive. Well idk how much he still is inside of the development....but they did great work with Part 1, 2 and 4. Part 3 i hadnt enough time to play and test.

Do any of you ever listen to music while working? If so, which genre or band?

I can imagine having to study all the countries' histories must have been hard, are you quick learners or do you just write it in as you go?

Cheers.

Yes, stupid me "Primo" had other things on my modding mind :)

Podcat listens to a lot of Sabaton, I listen to different stuff depending on mood. Bowie, Daft Punk or A Perfect Circle are a few examples.
Funny, he doesn't look like metal fan at all. I would say Queen or maybe Mozart when I see him :)

Currently I have a playlist in spotify with bands like The Pipettes, Yelle, Raymond & Maria, and more like that..

Did the old board game Blood Royale inspire the concept for CK, or did the inspiration come from somewhere else?

When wil you release the rest of Paradox Games Collection on Steam? I'm talking about the older ones, like Crusader Kings, CK: Deus Vult, Victoria, Vicky Revolutions and Europa Universalis II. Do you plan to do that?

And between CK and Vicky, what is your favorite game?

Have any of you ever come to Portugal? Did you like it?
