Yes, on all Europa Universalis games. I just bought Rome via that.
Two Thrones is not included in that offer.

But it's just a thought, giving things away for free is very unbusinesslike. :p

Two thrones costs 9 SEK = 1€ aproximately... Not that expensive :p

It won't play on Win7 though, Vista is ok i think :( The installation does not produce an installer, but i bought it anyway just for the support :)

Now, yet another strange question: can someone tell me when the forum first started? I became a member nine years ago (Oct 2001) when i first bought EU1, and the boards already existed. So, when exactly did the forum go online? Was its release connected to that of EU1 ?

Slargos has been around since 1999. ;)

Others have too, but he's among the most important. :p

So, at least since 1999... Thanks King_Rchard, that is a good start towards the answer :) Let's hope an admin offers something even more specific...

Not an admin, but Johan's account indicates as join date "14-12-1999"... other join dates seem to be after that. ;)

Thanks Gigau :). I had never really noticed that...

At your service :)

Interestingly, Johan is user #2... and user #1 has a join date in 2001 :p

Anyone at Paradox can say how that happened ?

I think Patric worked at Pdox earlier... Or something like that. Why it says he joined in 2001 I really don't know :p

Purely speculation, but note that the Paradox copyright on the site is 2001; so I presume that's when the forums were created.

As Paradox is a few years older, Johan's join date might have been 'altered' to reflect that he is the company. ;):p

No, it's just that the url changed then, I believe. The forums were indeed created in 1999, but then the moved everything here.

Well, Johan still has 1999; incontrovertible fact.

there used to be a forum before this one....the community actually started it´s life as "Blackstar" forums or something like that!

"Blackstar" ? I haven't heard of it! Please, do tell...
To be honest, i believe a stickied thread should be created in the Paradox General Discussions forum, where the history of Paradox, the releases and the community would be gradually recorded. Some of us have been around for almost a decade now (a few even longer) and are still hazy about the details, despite Paradox being a major part of our gaming experience !!
Moreover, newer members would get a "handbook" to both the community and the older releases, whlie we would be making sure their memory is kept vivid, perhaps via posts/mini reviews.
I would certainly be willing to help, if there was any support for the idea...Let us not forget: scripta manent.

Patric worked for Paradox and was the one resposible for putting up the forum. But something happened with the forum/server and he had to recreate his account if I recall correctly. That's why his join date is screwed up, but he was the first one.
