Obviously, there's no Victoria coats of arms to choose from.

As for the second part, here goes more detailed explanation.

Atm, I have a checksum (yeah that was the word :)) starting with T (can't check this though as I'm at work now) and it's STEAM version of EU3 Complete + HttT and patch 4.1c. My friend has exactly the same setup hi did not purchased from STEAM. His checksum is EISH.

Nikolai is a nice name ;)

Alas, as was mentioned in the thread but I wasn't aware about - you can only use Victoria II avatars if you have registered that game on the forums (As I have)
Victoria II is on a 50% sale on Gamers Gate at the moment, if you feel you have too much money and want to spend some for a forum avatar (and a game where you can play as Krakow) ;)

Patch 4.1c? That sounds like the final 4.1 version. Either way, your friends EISH belongs to 4.1b, so you are not using the same versions.
Compare your checksums to this thread - if you do not have checksums matching the thread, something has gone wrong with the install: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...ES-and-REFERENCE-EU3-checksums-and-datestamps

This thread discusses other steam/EU3 checksum issues (and the suggestion to empty the cache folder): http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?513560-Something-wrong-with-our-versions
For further questions about your EU3 problems, use that thread or create a new one in the tech support forum for EU3 http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?354-EU3-Tech-Support

Good luck. :)

Does Paradox have any plans with the ROME game this year? Add-ons, expansions, patches? This is a good game.

Just guessing, but I'd say that we can expect addons for HoI3 and Vicky 2 this year. I'd like to see another addition for Rome though.

Who was the first forum member to join in the new year?

Its a good thing i am not in school...With all these releases, i doubt i would never make it through to the university :)
Happy new year everyone !

Who owns the right to Drakar och Demoner the computer game?

The pen and paper RPG are licensed from Paradox Entertainment to Riotminds, as I understand it.
But when Paradox was split into Entertainment and Interactive, PI got all the rights to the computer games, right? So in theory PI could make a Drakar och Demoner game, or would you have to license it from PE?

License belongs to PE.

But why would we want to make a computer game on a license that only has recognition in a tiny country like Sweden?

I'd love to do it, but there's no money to be made considering the fan base.

Just asking. I have no illusions about there ever will be a Drakar och Demoner game again.
It made me think when I heard someone today asking about the old computer game.

How many copies do I have to buy for you to reconsider, Shams?

Quick! Claim that Bioware's Dragon Age (with it's heavy featuring of Demons) has actually stolen the "look and feel" of Drakar & Demoner :p

Depends on the development cost. Let's say we're making a game equivalent to Baldurs Gate. But we're talking about at least 40-50k copies.

I'm thinking a €19.99 and a development team om roughly 6 people during 12 months. It's a pretty risky deal anyway. I'm assuming the dev cost will be fairly high since we need Swedish or at least western developers. Only they "get" Drakar and Demoner.

I'd prefer if someone just made the game on their own, then brings it to us and we can then show it to PE and ask nicely for the licence. That I can see, but we'd still call it something else.

Of course you'd prefer that, that would simply transfer all risk to that certain 'someone'. :p

You should work in publishing. ;)
