I used to love drawing fictional maps of countries, sometimes also including the economy of that country.

Maybe that's because I really like maps in general, I find it very fun to look into an atlas and therefore I also know geography relatively great. I also do sometimes draw maps of parts of the world, but rather to see if I remember the borders and such things. Also I'm interested in politics, so I sometimes drew countries, acting like some sort a dictator.

That, among with some interest in history, probably is the reason, why I like Paradox's games, also Civilization, Sim City etc. I kinda miss some good "political" simulation, in the way of Superpower 2, but good ;)

Heres a fun question for Paradox, if you where ever had the oppertunity to to get you hands on the D&D liscensing, would you try to snatch it?

*imagines a Platpypus swinging on a rope taking the D&D liscense to safety from EA, UBI etc......*

DO IT PLEASE!!!!

Oh, and second question, Have you guys played Planescape: Torment?

Well, someone needs to take the whole area of digital product handling off WotC, 'cos the mess they are making of it right now is practically indescribable!

Um, I don't think you were asking me, really, but I can't help saying - oh, yeah! ;)

Why would you want a D&D license? There are plenty other rpgs out there that have a far better system, and are probably dirt-cheap to license :)

Other systems that have a "better system" for what? D&D 4E is excellent at what it does - but, of course, that is not everything that an RPG can do. So, one might want to license D&D 4E because it is the best gamist, fantasy RPG out there. If one wants a different style of RPG, one should naturally choose another :).

One thing at the time. We are currently working on improving the launcher, after that we might get to the installer. :) I do agree that it can do much to set the mood of the game though!
I disagree. Back in the days of Red Alert 2 a well designed installer was indeed awesome. A good reason for this was that it took quite a while to install a game back then. These days installing a game doesn't take a lot of time at all. We also have computers capable of doing other things while installing, so sitting staring at the progress bar is a thing of the past.

To further cement this argument theres Steam and other services which download and install games in the background. A huge portion of your costumers will never see a beautifully desgined installer even if they wanted to.

I think the effort is much better invested in creating interesting intoduction movies or perhaps giving some nice background into a country you choose when starting the game, since thats something everyone can enjoy.

Yea your launchers currently launch IE when I click the ads it displays. I hate IE (*). Please have it launch the default browser instead.

(*) I tried removing execution rights from iexplore.exe but windows won't let me .

Is it just me or is Magicka version 2.0 of Valhalla Chronicles ? That is your game, right ?

Btw, both games are good and fun (even though I never found out how to get pass level one ini VC, still worth 1 dollar). Nice to see viking games. Magicka is also higly orginal and is a good game for LAN parties.

Why doesn't this forum have a Puerto Rican flag in the flag avatar section, i see some of them terrorist countires got their flags put up, why not a Puerto Rican Flag??
Is Puerto Rico in any of their games? They seem to use the flags from their games to make the avatars.

And "terrorist countries"??? Umm... wow.

Puerto Rico does exist in HoI2 and HoI3.

Is there any plans at all to ever come up with a new download system for your patches? We should not have to rely on individual retailers for the patches as they are usually very slow about adding the latest patches to their sites, and clicking the stickies from your forum is insanely slow if they even work at all. (for instance I have been trying to DL one patch for one of your games for the last 4 hours, keeps cutting off half way through).

Since different download portals wrap the game in their code, you have to use their version or it won't work. There is not that much we can do about it.
If you bought from a place that allows generic patches like retail or gamersgate you can use the launcher to get the latest patch.
