Does Paradox playtest patches and expansions? Because it doesnt looks like it - many people (myself included) reported that in "HoI3 For the Motherland" CVs and BBs are now almost impossible to sink - I run 10 hands off games (using 3.04 patch) (as Cuba) which I let run untill 1945 and I NEVER saw more than 10 capital ships as sunk.

Issues you have with specific games should be taken to the Tech/Bug forums for those games, I know it can be frustrating waiting for changes and fixes, I feel the same way with other games, But please realize these things do take time, and need to be tested so a fix for one thing does not break 10 others.

Well, IMO testing before release should be done better - very often patches/expansions include bizare bugs/problems (french AI leaving parts of Maginot line undefended while at war with Germany etc.) which can easily be seen - either prerelease testing is minimal or its done by blind fanboys who are incapable of any criticizm towards PI.

As far as naval combat is concerened, in HoI3 its broken since 1.0 version. Many things which are declared as WAD are anything from absurd all the way to gamebreaking and posting about it didnt have any effect.

I spent 40€ (+ another 40€ for expansions) to preorder HoI3 - which for many (myself included) outside USA/Western europe is quite a bit of money and I really dont feel happy with results. If it werent for mods like ICE, I wouldnt even bothered with FtM.

I'm a bit surprised that Paradox has never published or even developed any games in the city-building genre. It seems like it would be a natural crossover for your fans. Is there any particular reason for this and might it change in future? I really want a play 'Johan Andersson's Phoenicians!'

Technical Question please:

The hoi2 game... hoi-counter-strip, for Darkest Hour is 31 counters, and for HOI2 is 30 counters long. But the whole strip is 922 x 34?

Question: Do the first 32 counters on the strip apply to global (all) countries... and the next 32 apply to another country... and so on... each 32 counters applying to a different country in turn... ??

Do you have any information as to what countries they apply to?

Please, Thanks

Though, when RRW said city-building game I thought we were talking about classics such as Caesar, Pharaoh, Zeus and Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom. All from the old Impression games.

City-Life is a bit more Sim like. Which is fine but I never thought of Simcity as a city-builder in that classic sense. More a city simulation.

A bit more modern would be Children of the Nile and the Anno series. I know Tilted Mill, which holds whatever remains from the old days of these classic city-builders is pretty much only a ghost forums without even a single employee. And the Anno series is unfortunatly plagued by being published by the worse company to ever disgrace the gaming world (yes, dramatic, but they deserve it).

So if I could elaborate on his question, I would ask if Paradox has ever given any thought into bringing Tilted Mill back from the ashes. I, for one, miss the creativity and addictiveness of the old Impressions games.

just curious in the steam summer sale th catalogue was 33% off but on GG/impulse it is 50%
are the other guys trying to compete with steam?

Are all people who get paid by Paradox Interactive (devs and other people who work there) Swedish or do you have people from other countries too?

King and Darkrenown are Scottish, and I think they have a few new employees that are not (full) Swedes.

We have Americans, Polish people, Norwegians, Scottish people and many more. Can't remember where everyone hails from but these are the ones I'm sure about.
