Fighting soldiers from the sky
Fearless men who jump and die
Men who mean just what they say
The brave men of the Green Beret

Only one fate for pirates.

March in the guilty bastard!

'Twas ever to be his fate.
Thank you for replying. Thank you for the Green Beret idea! Blackbeard's crew was tried, hung and displayed in Williamsburg. Of course, the pirates would meet this fate. Duchess Milka shows her heritage! At this time, her personal combat score was around 40 and she had a sword from heaven (dragon crafted?) in her treasury!

I am sad to see Jack Sparrow's death, he was a cunning man. I will have to say that is too close to death for my liking and I heard that the weather in Dyrrachion is wonderful, so that's where I'll be staying.

As for the guesses, I'm gonna say it is Queen Urraca who stays alive to 1250, seeing how the English monarchs have a propensity to get murdered.
Thank you for replying. Maybe a little too cunning! As Chief Engineer, you will in the future remain with the WayBack Machine! I read the same about Dyrrachion, The castle is high enough and south enough that the worst summer heat and winter cold would be moderated.

I owe you a research. I am at June 1359 in game play. While Urraca is alive, I am not commenting on her 1350 role. León is as vicious as England! Urraca is only on the throne because her mother found suspicious before her grandfather did. Urraca is from a d'Ivrea double marriage.

nah, see, I wanted to prove to Elizabeth that ramming, the main shipborne combat method of the age was useless when properly prepared for. I then accidentally rammed Gibraltar, and I had to fix the engine using the emotional anger generated when I told the gibraltarites that their island someday be owned by Britain.
Thank you for replying. Engine nothing, that fiberglass hull is going to take a lot of duct tape after tangling with the Rock!

duke eric from central france is currently revolting against the king of ireland?

Thank you for replying. Ireland is a powerhouse! At 1350 check, Ireland is #10 in the world. When I next boot up, I will check Ireland's holdings beyond the Emerald Isle. Ireland did ok in the divorce from England.

Being a monarch is a dangerous job in these times, much more job security being Chief Engineer of a time machine. A d'Ivrea double marriage? Just like their ancestors it seems.

As for the research, if you were planning on looking over Ireland in the next post already then I would like to know how Egypt and the Crusader States are doing, especially with their cosmopolitan cultures.

Thank you for replying. The WayBack Machine misses you almost as much as you much her. Dyrrachion's children will be happy to hear that in the future the tours of the WayBack will continue while the AAReaders explore the world.

I will look at Egypt and Kingdom of Jerusalem for you. Thank you

Everyone please forgive me as I failed to give battle score. Anne Howe has King Anselm with a 90 point advantage. (Have corrected original.) I must have confused 1225 with 1250 when Anne will be in Norway helping @Nikolai count ballots. (1250 has three wars involving top five with all at 0 war score.)

To everyone for reading and commenting. Please vote at the ACAs

Oh, a high seas adventure! I love it. I really wanted to forget about isolation and quarantines for a while, so thank you @Midnite Duke for putting on a fun story.

Also, can we get some applause for @Cora Giantkiller and @Nikolai saving the day? This whole chapter was a riot! :)

Usually I write that we are dealing with snapshots in time; but this fits in some things never change: On 21 June 1359 just like 1 January 1325 Duke Eric of Auvergne (same guy) is in a revolt against the King of Ireland (different king).

Ireland timeline:
28 June 1325 21yo Randolph Plantagenet inherits Kingdom of Ireland.
16 September 1342 39yo King Randolph is deposed in favor of his 9yo son Andrew Plantagenet.
9 November 1343 11yo King Andrew is murdered by Edith Mortimer (an unwed mother of two, one by the Count of Wight, a simple master seducer. Edith would die of suspicious circumstances in 1349.) Andrew's 40yo father Randolph inherits Kingdom of Ireland. (@CnutderGrosse, please control your Mortimer family for murdering 11yo are beyond the pale.) King Randolph's stats are 7-10-18-0-9. (How do you rule for over 30 years with 0 intrigue?)
King Randolph is married to the King of Scotland's sister. King Randolph's heir (eldest daughter) is married to the Count of Stettin (Pomerania) in a matrilineal double Plantagenet marriage. (@JabberJock14, please come back and broaden the Plantagenet gene pool.) The Count's parents are the late Count of Stettin and the Duchess of Gwent (Wales) in another matrilineal marriage. The Duchess is also Ireland's designated regent.

King Randolph is facing an independence revolt from Duke Eric. 28 counties are loyal to King Randolph with 9 counties joining Duke Eric. The loyalists consist of Ireland's 19; Brythoniaid's Cornwall, Dyfed, Glywysing, and Gwent; Aquitaine's Bourbon and Limousin; England's Bedford; France's Tours and Pomerania's Stettin. The Independence Revolt is in Duke Eric's Aurilliac (Aquitaine) and the Duke of Normandy's Caen, Eu, Mortain, Rouen and Vexin (in France); Wight and Wiltshire (in England); and Auvergne (Aquitaine, Duke Eric owns a barony).

The vultures are out! The King of Brythoniaid with the aid of King Randolph's brother-in-law the King of Scotland is trying to regain De Jure Dyfed from King Randolph. The King of England is trying to regain De Jure Wiltshire from the Duke of Normandy. The Duke of Toulouse used Dewey Cheatem to get a claim on Duke Eric's Aurilliac that is being pressed. Can you imagine the legal fees that Dewey will rack up if Duke Eric loses his own county before the Independence War ends?

Thank you for replying! I am so glad to hear about your negative. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family. The heroes are too numerous to name. This put a new spin on the sword from heaven event (meteorite forged by blacksmith). Take care, my friend. That my story brightened your day is a high compliment.

Haha, I have very little say over what they get themselves into.

I am hoping that you just wish Egypt and KoJ and not the other crusade victories in Estonia and Syria (very recent). While in Ireland, I tried to highlight what Ireland owned. In Egypt and KoJ, I will give who owns each county on 21 June 1359. De Jure Kingdom of Jerusalem consists of four duchies (Jerusalem is currently vacant) and fifteen counties. Owners on 21 June 1359:

Kingdom of Jerusalem:

Sultan Sharaf (d'Este) of Jerusalem 18yo Levantine Catholic 1K 1D 3C
Emira Nadzieja (Reginair) of Ascalon 24yo Levantine Catholic 1D 2C
Sheikh Gontzal (de Haro) of Darum 52yo Basque Catholic 2C
Sheikh Leif (Estrid) of Safed 40yo Levantine Catholic 1C
The KoJ also owns some lands in de Jure Syria.
Byzantine Empire:

Count Polykarpos (Gavras) of Cherson (Crimea) 20yo Greek Catholic 2C (including Jerusalem) Count Polykarpos owns three more counties and received these two when his mother (daughter of prior King of Jerusalem) was deposed. His father was a Byzantine Basileus killed in combat.
Sultan Sharaf is currently trying to remove the excommunicated Byzantine Basileus.
Sultanate of Arabia:

Emir Taimur (Aberffraw) of Oultrejourdain 22yo Levantine Catholic 1D 1C
Sheikh Abdul-Hamid (Estrid) of Madaba 39yo Levantine Catholic 2C
Sheikh Hakam (Azeemid) of Negev 12yo Levantine Catholic 1C
Sheikh Aziz (Musaid) of Wadi Musa 15yo Levantine Catholic 1C
The Sunni Sultan of Arabia is currently involved in a Holy War between two Abyssinia petty kingdoms, one Miaphysite and one Monophysite. He is receiving tribute from one.
@Kage265, de Jure Egypt will come soon. The dynasty names give a better idea of origin variety than current culture in KoJ.

That was good just what I wanted. I'm surprised only one ruler retained their original culture, although he might be an original crusader instead of a descendant of one judging by his age. The young Sultan of Jerusalem feels confident going against the Byzantines, hopefully he can manage both them and Arabia

Thank you for replying. The Jerusalem crusade was just after our 1225 check. (@JSB217118, our resident Jerusalem expert, was arrested by the Iraqi secret police and had to be rescued by Dewey Cheatem and the A-Team.) Sheikh Gontzal may have participated in the just completed Syria crusade. Probably the Levantines do not want Sheikh Gontzal as he is known as 'the Devil'.

Rough Crusade & Jihad timeline:

1190s: Egypt Crusade & Jerusalem Jihad Both successful with Egypt going to a young Pole.

around 1230: Jerusalem Crusade & Egypt Jihad Both successful with restoration of previous ruling houses. Kingdom of Egypt being exiled to one county in northwest Black Sea area (Ukraine?)

mid 1260s to mid 1280s: 20yr Egypt Crusade with Kingdom of Egypt restored under Cuman leadership (Egypt was a enclave in Cumania).
after Egypt Crusade: Jihad for Arabia because Syria/Arabia had a Zikri leader. Jihad failure. Syria would eventually restore Sunni rule.

late 1310s: Crusade Estonia with HRE leading the way.

1350s: Crusade Syria & Jihad Egypt Double victory for Catholics. New Queen of Syria (French Catholic) is a bastard sister of the Sultan who died during crusade. She may be the oldest grandchild of late Sultan Saladin of Syria/Arabia. Her nephew is the current Sunni Sultan of Arabia.

It appears since the Papal beneficiary had a legitimate claim to Egypt and Syria that there was no division of lands and loot.

The Pope lives in Rome with no army, lands or court. This is the result of a previous Pope converting to Orthodox and getting the Papal lands but losing the Papacy. The HRE rules Rome, but the Pope is independent.

For @Kage265, here is De Jure Egypt (21 June 1259). Egypt consists of nine duchies and twenty-nine counties (differences from the wiki). Four realms currently own Egyptian real estate. (All rulers are Catholic.)

Sultanate of Egypt controls eight duchies and twenty-four counties.

1K 2D 3C Sultan Nuraddin (Terteroba) of Egypt 42yo Egyptian (He controls two more counties, one each in Poland and along Red Sea in Abyssinia.)
1D 2C Emira Çiçek (Terteroba) of Asyut 66yo Egyptian
1D 2C Emir Kobyak (Beglukid) of Damietta 42yo Egyptian
1D 1C Emir Kozel (Arabid) of Alexandria 29yo Cuman
1D 1C Emir Begluk (Sugrid) of Aswan 41yo Cuman
1D 1C Emira Nabila (Nabilid) of Faiyum 19yo Egyptian
1D 1C Emir Sugr (Beglukid) of Sinai 44yo Cuman
(To save space, I will group the thirteen who hold 1C together by culture.)
Cuman: 46yo Sheikh Begluk (Beglukid) of Zygra; 31yo Shaykhah Gulay (Zapozhye) of al-Badaqun; 61yo Sheikh Eldeçyuk (Ochak) of al-Giziya; 58yo Shaykhah Yeldem (Rasheedid) of al-Mallisis; 39yo Prince Bishop Saru (Saru) of al-Qusiya; 50yo Shaykhah Sati (Kozaid) of al-Qusair; 19yo Sheikh Çilbu (Sevençid) of al-Sariya (husband of Emira Nabila); 29yo Sheikh Törtugul (Kutan) of al-Gardiya; 66yo Sheikh Asalup (Sokalid) of Bahariya
Egyptian: 37yo Sheikh Mikhael (Terteroba) of Kharga (son and vassal of Emira Çiçek); 54yo Lord Mayor Yared (lowborn) of al-Farama; 39yo Sheikh Youssef (Jukondarid) of El-Arish
Polish: 32yo Sheikh Gierolt (Bogorski) of Siwah
Egypt is currently engaged in a Holy War for 2 Lithuanian counties against a Romuvan.
Kingdom of Denmark controls one duchy and three counties along the Mediterranean Sea west of Egypt's holdings.

1D 1C Duke Niels II (Estrid) of Cyrenaica 26yo Danish
1C Count Anselm (von Nassau) of Benghazi 54yo German (He also controls a second county to the west to complete the duchy.)
1C Count Joakim (Botner) of Tobruk 26yo Danish
Holy Roman Empire controls one county interior of Denmark's holding (in De Jure Cyrenaica).

1C Count Hartmann (von Berg) of Senoussi 63yo German
Kingdom of Lotharingia is attacking Denmark for Benghazi to connect Senoussi to the Mediterranean.
Kingdom of France controls one county in upper Egypt that does not border the Nile.

1C Count Hélie (de Bourgogne) of Farafra 10yo French
Anyone who has a research project, I am accepting guesses for the 1250 dropout and addition.
