problem is that the most important nation is missing!!! and next week we need a Brandenburg, so Well, that's two weeks no game. Week before last 5 out of 7 nations were there. Last week 4 out of 7 nations were there. It's been 3 weeks since there has been a real session. This one will be it, a whole month? without subs no game at least 2, who'll find 2 stable subs?
King John said:Hey all. Lets drop the defeatist attitude now, and all make an effort to be here next session. This game is terrificly fun, but these unlucky times always come when it seems like everyone is missing the session. I don't think it suggests any drop in enjoyment of the game.
The main problem the past few weeks has been that HG couldn't make it, and he's the protagonist here. The game will seem much more normal once he's back, and he icq'd me earlier saying his computer was working, so right now I think we should be able to get this game going again next week.
DSYoungEsq said:My Apologies about last night. Usually, I'm pretty solid when it comes to playing games. Last night, life intervened.
My significant other, who has in the past been quite tolerant of my gaming activities, insisted that I spend some time paying attention to her. It is unfortunate that this happened on a game night; other than bowling Tuesday and EU2 Wednesday, my evenings are clear, so her timing was less than wonderful. However, the situation being what it was, I chose to deal with her rather than insist upon continuing to punch buttons on the computer.
I did intend to make it back last night before the sessoin was over, but that didn't happen. I probably should have dropped out rather than go AFK, I suppose, but didn't know for sure. As it is, I've reviewed the events that popped up on my screen; what I don't know is whether or not any of them actually affected my sliders, etc. I suspect not, which is fine; none of them were particularly great one way or the other.
I do apologize and am appreciative of your forbearance. When I get a chance to review the host save, I might have a minor edit or two to request, but I think I can live with most of it. I do know I want the Mascate CoT edited back to me; that at least would not have been allowed to revolt away.![]()

i took option b yet only 1prov converted (and didn't say convert samarkand 3times it sayd convert samarkand 1time like only 1 of the 3 triggert for some reason)
so i'd like to ask for 2random conversions to fix this stuppid eventbug
as you can see option B sucks if it wasn't for the 3conversions
Daniel A said:This event is a little weird. In another campaign I tested the save some 5-6 times and wrote down what I got. Once I got all three, once I got zero, and for the rest I got one or two. In the real game I got only one.![]()
Is it just that conversions don't work sometimes? Or is it that the event engine randomly chooses a province to test for conversion, then doesn't actually complete one if the province is already the "correct" religion? If the latter, is there any other event consequence that is known to have the same sort of result? If so, the logical failure should be brought to the attention of Johan so that the new game is coded differently for such events.Daniel A said:This event is a little weird.
