CK's going to be more like EU in that stylistic sense and I think what's more likely is a seriously beefed-up version of EU battles, which isn't all bad, really :)

I think the beefed-up combat will be just more information - sorta like EU II with the different types of units portrayed where we have only one typ unit in EU II. Perhaps a little more insight in an HOI-type display of the tactics used and the terrain effects.:)

I hope there is a chance your vassals won't necessarily do exactly as you tell them. It would also be nice if you could buy nobles' loyalty by chucking cash, lands and surplus daughters at them - maybe sons in the case of the Albigensians, Ralph the Bugger and certain Turkish emirs. Only march the Fyrd to Cashel, Lord Fitzmaurice, and Piers Gaveston's arse shall be yours...

Careful. One of Piers traits may be that he can scratch your eyes out. :p :D

I believe this is correct. There was also some mention that the leader might not follow the tactic which you picked for him.:)

Erg. I hope not. I call this the 'fuhrer factor' and you see it in wargames, especially operational theatre ones. Some high level decisions are countermanded in an attempt for more realism. It could be fun, but I prefer to have abosolute control over such things. If there is this disobidience factor, then include an option for sacking disloyal generals. :)

And if that "general" is your most powerful Duke, with strong backing within your realm... Are you willing to face the possible civil war? :D

Edit: And PS. Your sig. is too long...

Well that would all depend on the situation, one would hope, as the king, that you might have some influence as well. :p

Sure. But unfortunately, even as a king, you usually only have influence over one side of the civil war... ;)

How many different types of units are there? And are there unique units per different country, or just a set of generic units for every nation?

Could you also execute generals for poor performance etc., if you the influence and power to do so?

Anyone else see the product catalouge for SF?
It had screenies for CK, I think, and they dont look like EU/HOI at all.
Oddly enough, they look more like some sort of LoR.
Anyone else seen this?

That was a mistake. The screenies were from Celtic Kings.

:(
Sorry.
Should have noticed the fact that there where more palisades than castle walls.

No need to be sorry. It wasn't possible to know unless you compared to the Celtic Kings's screenies
