This release has me deeply torn.
On Tuesday when the download finishes do I?

1 ) Bust open one of my previous saves and try to do all the Flashpoints.
2 ) Start a new game in Career Mode.
3 ) Dig into the Flashpoint JSONs and try and figure them out.

I've been flipping through these options repeatedly this week and it is making me crazy :)

Yes but in what ORDER?!?

As of this very moment...
Career Mode Campaign
Flashpoint JSON examination
Post-Campaign game

but that changes a few times a day... so much stuff... only 1 thing at a time :eek::confused:

Then try going from shortest to longest? Peek on the files first, try as many Flashpoints with a post-campaign savegame, then go Career Mode. :)
 
Files peek, not too deep to ruin any good surprises. Check on the new combat/sim/other constants for sure, check ability redo and new units in skirmish, then start a new career mode play.

easy.....
you can examine flashpoint json while playing.

first jump right in with an existing post campaign save....give it a week.
then start a career mode...again for a week.
then start a brand new story mode....again fro a week.

and while playing each you can look at json while in transit or loading missions or whenever there is a pause.
helps loads if you have multiple monitors though.

0) Edit SimGameConstants.json to replace the Career Mode starting lance Vindicator with a Hatchetman and start a new Career Mode playthrough.

That's what I'm going to do, anyway :)

That is really tempting! I would love to have a Hatchetman from the start.

I might play my first Career Mode playthrough with the stock and recommended setup just to experience it how Kiva set it up, but after that, I think I am going to try that...But it is tempting to do it right from the start anyway :D.

Thanks for bringing that up @stjobe lol. :D

that is a tempting idea.....
at very least i plan to increase the chances of the HCT to appear in the opfor/stores

I will be editing that file to put a cap on pilot wages I know that much. Anyone would think they were Premier League or NFL players with that much wedge in their wallets.

I bet you Dekker will start it....always being thrown into the worst situations......He's going to demand better wages and working conditions...you mark my words....and he will take the whole outfit with him...he can be very convincing.

ya vanilla game pays them pilots in a month or two what they should be making in a year.
i before i capped it i couldn't keep pilots around...they would work about a year and then retire.
i wouldnt mind their salaries too much if i could charge them rent and food and utilities and such along with mech bay services.

You put him in his place.....Just make sure you don't send him to scout a location named "Picket" , 'cause that's one line Unionized Dekker won't cross.....;)
