I'll never understand why the developers and modders haven't toned down all the naval attack numbers. It's not perfect, but makes for a much more fun naval experience.

i mean i sent 6 modern NAV in there they just bounced off the 4 CVs and lost all their org, then i lost my remaining BC trying to withdraw, its more like the AI can just use them better
probably have to restart, i dont even have cvl researched lol and its 1941
was just trying an old school flavour game to get a bitter peace on hard, which looks like im gonna get easily, just having german carrier fleets never felt right to me hehe
the convoy war is totally broken too, if u could see where the convoys are it would be much fairer, the AI totally can!
Also u can sink more during a month of shore bombardment in certain spots than years of dedicated submarine warfare
i probably wont even build submarines!!!! completely useless!!!!! i know you can use heavy subs as warships and they actually close better than most real ships but thats just shit and unrealistic
ive had 50 of them in the atlantic for 3 years (in big groups!) and im not seeing any difference on the battlefield, hoards of commonwealth in africa and mid east

Are Submarines Worthless?
(Very entertaining AAR by blue emu, one of the most inventive HoI players, showing a very successful war on convoys vs UK with astonishingly global-wide side effects).

Well, you are right "a German carrier fleet never felt right" and there never was one... and Germany never ruled the sea.

If you want to rule the sea, though... don't expect to do it with battleships and cruisers.

What's wrong with that? It's WW2, not the napoleonic wars.
