I would also prefer not to register at fileplanet in order to download the beta/demo.

Be bit patient. Usually fileplanet opens up the betas to all after a few hours or 1-2 days. Waiting for that too

It is quite an nice beta btw. Game looks good and plays well. Only thing I missed was the lack of East-India/Indonesia and perhaps South America as well.
Question: Would it be legal for someone who already has the Beta to make it available for others - Distributing it through a site or a server others could access?
Or would that be a violation of copyrights / agreements with Fileplanet?
I start work again the day after EIC comes out, so I would luv to have some time with it before it is back to the old treadmill...

I've been following this game on the forums for a while and I'm a little dissapointed about the fileplanet Beta. Maybe there will be a demo on Steam? or some where that you dont need an account ?

It would breach copyright.
It would breach the NDA of the person making it available to others
(and as NDAs are a contract then this is potentially where you could end up in the most trouble because any local quirks in the law won't help you.)

I kinda figured....A bit sad that only those who can afford to pay will have a chance to look at the Beta...
I guess I, and other poor people with me, won't get to see the game until it comes out - My copy is preordered, and I can not see paying almost the same amount beforehand to have a peek at the Beta.
Now, how about that demo....

I would not spread false information about a beta's NDA...
There is a fairly long general NDA that you agree to when filling out Fileplanet's form for the beta.

Ive downloaded this beta from fileplanet and installed it,but when i try to enter the username and password given it doesnt accept it...has anyone else had this problem...ive entered it in the prorper case aswell

Yes, I'm having the same problem. Entered exactly as the email states, but not working for me either.
I guess even that is alluding me as well thenThere's a moral to this story then.
This would be an open beta. The closed beta is ended.
For people unable to login, be patient and keep trying, it will be an issue with Paradox's server.
