Does anyone have information how many armed Interior Ministry personnel remained under control of Sarajevo/Banja Luka/Grude in 1991? Even if total number is known that would be great because I can then proportion it.

I have asked a friend if he knows how large police force remained loyal to the Bosnian central government when the war started but I haven't got any respond yet. Will ask him again or see if somebody on a Bosnian forum knows this.

I will respond on your PM tomorrow and if I get the chance I will post some thoughts and ideas on the techs.

I'm a bit late but here we go with HQ's and command center loactions.
  • 1st Corps Sarajevo HQ
    • Local command Centers: Stari Grad (province) & Novo Sarajevo.
  • 2nd Corps Tuzla HQ
    • Local command centers: Gradačac, Kalesija, Živinice.
  • 3rd Corps Zenica HQ
    • Local command centers: Visoko, Breza, Zavidovići, Doboj-jug.
  • 4th Corps Mostar HQ
    • Local command centers:Blagaj, Jablanica, Vrapcici, Konjic (later becoms the HQ of the 6th corps.)
  • 5th Corps Bihać HQ
    • Local command centers:Cazin, Velika Kladuša (1994- ), Bužim, Sanski Most (Summer 1995).Local command centers:
  • 6th Corps Konjic HQ, formed 9. June 1993.
    • Local command centers: Jablanica.
  • 7th Corps Travnik HQ, formed 26. February 1994.
    • Local command centers::Novi Travnik, Turbe.
  • The so called "free Podrinje area, """NATO (Un)Controlled""" HQ's: Goražde, Srebrenica.
These are 100% sure and checked, there were no more other command centers.

We could now just add these HQ units with an event into the predefined province.

Production units would be (really) only historical way:

Infantry:
  • 1. xxxx(name) brigade (Name of location)
  • 111. br Gračanica (example)
Motorised:
  • 1. xxxx(name) mbr (Name of location)
Mountain:

  • 109. bbr Doboj-Istok
  • 208. brdska brigada Kalesija
Engineer:
  • 2. inžinjerijska brigada (name of location)
Armored:
  • 15. oklopni bataljon (name of location)
Air units:
  • 1. vazduhoplovna brigada (location)
Ships:
  • No ships.

Thanks for this. We have more or less had this information. Do you by any chance have the names of the temporary unit groupings? These were usually called Operation groups or tactical groups. On example, studying battle schematics I've noticed that JNA used numeric notation, e.g. '6. operativna grupa' while HV and VRS used geographical ones 'Operativna grupa Ozren', 'Operativna grupa Osijek'. These temporary groups could be used as names for HQs.

Yea I have some names of "operative groups" (Bosnian):
Operativna grupa Lašva
Operativna grupa Bosna
Operativna grupa Soli
Operativna grupa Visoko
Operativna grupa Krajina

These were all temporary, later they were more organised in the other corps.
Also you should include the names of some important special units of ARBIH:
Crni Labudovi
Zokini Momci
Hamze
Gazije

Thanks. We'll get Hax to add these to unit names file. So it is safe to assume you could just keep adding similar names to the file: Drina, Neretva... as long as it denominates a geographical term.

I think we will end up having special forces as separate unit type so let's not waste them on HQs. It seems wrong anyway...

So "Operativna grupa XYZ" is just the unitname for level 1 HQs, what should then armynames be? What about other units like infantry, how will we do with that? No problem I will do that but I will need to learn first.

Hogar, I will respond to your PM and start doing my tasks in Thursday or Friday, until then I must finish some things...

Unfortunately, unit names are driven by unit type but not unit level. So if your current level for HQ is greater than 2 it will still use 'Operativna grupa xyz' as long as that is next available name in config/unitnames.csv. Game always works from the top of the list so this is where all the historic names should be.

I've made almost no progress this week. I'll send you a link to new version on Friday night. You can distribute it to whomever you think is useful.

Guys i planned to be tomorrow home to send stuff but i'm in Sarajevo and my home town is just an hour of travelling from the capital eeeh the city is blocked because anti-government protests are ongoing and idk when they will stop, a complete chaos not just in Sarajevo but also in other cities and towns like Tuzla, Zenica, Mostar....

Pictures say more than words.

The city is blocked I first need to get home. I was at the protests today and almost got hit by a "flying chair".

Stay safe! I've seen that National Archive was burned to the ground. What a waste!!!
Thank you man! Well there is many stuff goin' around some real news but some are also fake, also one room of the national archive was burning the rest was saved, also all the other important stuff that is being kept in the presidency building has been moved to a temporary save place. The rest is yea, burned.

I read some valuable historical material was lost. I really hope the damage is not excessive...
I'm back home and yea, but most of the stuff is now being saved and copied, it looks like I will be posting to you guys in the next weeks maybe from a different country: Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Since the protests started 5 canton government's have fallen under "people control" when they finish with the federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina the next move is a Coup d'état and when the federation gets under new control the final thing will be overthrowing the government of republic of srpska entity and that leading to the reintegration into the reformed Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I just hope that everything goes well.

Please keep daily politics out of the forums... and do stay safe. It is usually said that Revolutions are eating their young but it looks to me that young ones have eaten revolution this time...

@Hax. Could you add minister changes in BOS government following was with HB and RS (if any)? It may be a good idea to keep Serbs in the government until whenever they withdrew from it. This isn't priority.
Perhaps we will add a BOS presidency events similar to YUG. What do you think about that idea? This isn't priority either.

So it's time to show some gameplay results and i'm pleased on how the mod performs with some of my tweaks. So I had NO crashes, beside one in 1993 (it was just a random crash.)

I was checking a lot of stuff from events to scenarios like what would happen in this or that case.

I used some F12 commands like "nofog", sometimes "fullcontrol" but not in actual gameplay to get an advantage and some other commands.

I started with this:
stynr

At the start of the aggression:

v7oa8

At the end of the war,i'm a good at strategy really but this went very ahistorical but still cool:

m2usz

lyojk

I have to say that this will be a great mod already!

Cheers,

TheFreak_97 or Hazbulator (my second nickname);)

Okay I will try to find the ministers SR Bosnia had before the war but some of them I think will be hard to find. But yeah I will do it later, first I must finish some other things I have promised like the techs, MUP Bosnia etc. And yes I think we should have BOS presidency events.

@TheFreak, hehe nice work but it seems you have removed some of the enemy forces? Did you add Novi Pazar to Bosnia or is there a event for that?

Tested a lot of stuff even removed lots of my units, all srpska units fled to YUG, Novi Pazar got occupied and some "demand territory" was used. :)

Great. I am pleased that you were able to win the war as Bosnia. That means we are not far from achieving some balance.

What was the key to success? I am afraid that due to geography it is really easy to surround and destroy an enemy due to supply lines getting cut. If this was the key to your victory we need to solve that problem.

I also see Croatia was at war with YUG? Was that a cheat?

We also need something to incline player/AI to go for Montenegrian part of Sandzak, some cores, etc...

I made no progress this week. Crazy schedule at work. Will look to add some stuff weekend if not before.
