Hello

Possible this has been reported before but here it comes. Were playing Kaiserreich 1.2 in MP. We encountered a event that is non-realistic and unbalanced. The event is 9728593 If you choose option b you will get a significant boost in some resources as Union of Britain (it's about 2000 + daily...).

action_b = {
name = "Nye Bevan, to take advantage of our great resources"
ai_chance = 30
command = { type = armamentminister which = 1214 }
command = { type = add_prov_resource which = -1 value = 2000 where = energy } #Britain has a lot of coal
command = { type = add_prov_resource which = -1 value = 250 where = oil }
command = { type = add_prov_resource which = -1 value = 250 where = rare_materials }
command = { type = industrial_modifier which = total value = 3 }

May not be consired a bug but still.

Gameplay imbalances can be posted here too. In fact, we appreciate any kind of feedback.

I noticed that Canada has events to transfer places like New England, Puerto Rico and Alaska, but if they happen to enter the war directly (as I have seen the AI do twice before), they don't seem to have any events to transfer back, say, Chicago.

I saw that there is a size 1 naval base in Vila Cabral (Portuguese east africa). This area doesn't even have a coast.
In my save game the German AI had 2 fleets based there, which was pretty cool for them because every area on the board is in range 0 from that port...

Better peace events is one of the focusses of 1.3. We will try to adress this issue.

I will look into it.

I'm playing as National France right now. With the Catholic bloc, I've managed to take virtually all of southern France, while Germany appears to have seized the north, including Paris. I'm pretty sure all necessary conditions for Event #666055 (France has been defeated [Flandern-Wallonien exists, partitioning not possible]) to fire have been met, but it's been two months now, and it's yet to fire. (and it only has an offset of 3, so...)

Peru has a national territory in Colombia (Cucuta). I assume this should be Iquitos in Equador.

For some reason, Nationalist France, when selecting Reynauld as Prime Minister had its 1941 elections fire in 1939 in my game. I checked the events and there appears no reason why this should be so however.

National France CTDs

(...)
Anytime I click on National France, whether to initiate diplomacy, check their provinces, etc the game crashes.

I found some strange bug; I'm currently playing as Nationalist France and following Maurras path. However, after "The Bourbon restauration" everytime i try to enter intelligence or diplomacy screen game crashes into desktop. (...)

I have the same problem with National France. Nearly every time I click on one of their provinces or try to access their diplomacy screen, the game crashes. Sometimes it happens if something is happening in France territory, even if I don't look at them.

In my first game as Russia, the problem was solved by the Union of Britain who annexed National France finally. Since that point, the game run stable.

In my actual game as Commune of France, I decided to solve the problem by annexing NF by myself. Landing troops in NF territory and gaining all their victory points was a pain. Had to save every five days or so and finally managed it with reloading all the time after constant crashes. But now, there is no way to annex them without instant crash :(
I control all their victory provinces. If I manage to get to the NF diplomacy screen without crash (what happens every second try or so), the game crashes as soon as I push the annex country button. Tried several times, it always crashes. Then I tried to annex via event. Same result: immediate crash.

I don't know what to do now :confused: Any ideas?

Brutus

PS: I can send a savegame, if that helps.
PPS: Aside from the NF problem - what a fantastic mod! It is the first mod I play (actually, I only buyed Armageddon to play Kaiserreich :p ) and I love it! Thank you for the great work!

While playing as Canada, I somehow triggered both the "C-7 Bill Passes" and "C-7 Bill is killed in the House of Lords" event at the same time.

Pretty much everything I passed was something that reduced dissent, like compromise on industry, improving army conditions, keeping Ironside, and saying we're all Canadians in this together.

Well, firstly, I just wanted to say that all the new events and attention to details make the mod absolutely fantastic compared to the last version I played (which was still great).

Now, I'm having trouble with the speed of the game. You know how by the late-game, Hearts of Iron 2 grinds to a near halt even on Extremely Fast setting? Well, I've achieved that extreme lag by 1937, and I have absolutely no reason why. Is it due to the sheer amount of events that need to be resolved, the amount of countries, etc? Because it doesn't seem to be the amount of units, at the very least.

Great version for a great mod. However, when playing Russia I gave it a push to communism and turned it to the soviet union, only to find that all of my commanders are gone. Obviously, this made the USSR unplayable. If you plan of adding soviet commanders, can you leave the Russian ones there for the meantime? Without commanders it is useless to play the USSR.

It's a HOI2 bug, there's nothing we can do. Try reloading the game, sometimes it works, because the Soviet leaders are there.
Luckily Darkest Hour will solve this problem when it will be released.

I don't really know modding that good, but isn't it possible to make some event like "Rallying the Soviet Army", that'll add (or re-add, for that matter) the soviet generals to the army?

I was playing as Canada and when the SACW started, I chose to attack CSA, then attacked AUS and the PSA, managed to get the US to join the Entente and proceeded to win the war by personally annexing CSA and PSA. I did choose to grab Alaska as I needed the IC to repair/upgrade my troops (the Americans weren't doing anything with it anyway :D ) After I won, I had the "honoring alliance events" by which I supposedly gave back Alaska, New England (that I hadn't taken, because I didn't want to have New England spawn on me) and the rest of mainland US. The last part (or first event, as they fired in the reverse order to my mentioning them here), didn't really "take". I was stuck with the entire West Coast and most of the Midlands all the way to the East Coast as the event didn't actually give anything back. I started giving the US the provinces 5 by 5 through deals, but by the time their "reintegrating the CSA, AUS and PSA territories" events fired, I still had some 20 provinces under my control.
Other than that, it was a blast :D

King Mihai I is the Totalist head of state for Romania.

King Mihai I is the Totalist head of state for Romania.

Historically, the HoS in the first two years of Communist rule in Romania was Mihai I, until they (Groza and the Russians) made him abdicate and flee the country. So keeping him (for a while, at least), isn't so far-fetched. What is far-fetched, however, is that the navy of the Iron Guard Romania has the same names as Romania from Vanilla. Why you ask? NMS stands for Nava Măriei Sale (HMS - His Majesty's Ship), so that has to go from the start. Also, the DD in the starting OOB is "NMS Regele Ferdinand" (HMS King Ferdinand). In KR the Legion (the name of the movement represented by the Iron Guard) supposedly overthrew the King. So I would change their names to something more like NFR - Nava Flotei Române followed by either names of historical Romanian rulers (of either principality).
There are a few more typing errors in the names, but I don't have the files on this laptop and I'm too lazy to check now :D Maybe I'll write a list later.
One more thing, the province named Tulcea should actually be Constanţa and the one named Constanta should be Silistra (largest city in the Cadrilater region). The city Constanţa is roughly half-way up the coast of the afore-mentioned "Tulcea" province and is the largest city and port on the Romanian coast.
