The transformation of Duchy od Burgundy into a modern industrialised/trading Republic of Flandres continued parallel with the re-formation of the Kingdom of France. One of major events in this process was the Treaty of Dijon, signed in 1510, after the successful French war against Brittany and Kleves, which saw those two countries annexed. The result was the firm border between Flandres and France.

TREATY OF DIJON

~1~
Flandres sells provinces of Orleans, Bourgogne, Franche Comte and Champagne to France in exchange for the province of Kleves and yearly tribute equal to half taxes collected in the Kingdom of France for 20 years (OOC: total of about 1900 d paid).

~2~
Kingdom of France renounces claims on the province of Picardie, while the Republic of Flandres renounces claims on the province of Bourgogne.

~3~
Kingdom of France sells her claims on the province of Caux to the Republic of Flandres, while the Republic of Flandres sells her claims on the province of Franche Comte to Kingdom of France.

~4~
The Republic of Flandres and Kingdom of France declare that currently there are nor shall there be territorial disputes between two countries, as long as good relations and understanding govern the mutual affairs.

Staten Generaal of Flandres

Francois I, King of France

No country related comments, I got the impression they are not healthy at all for France :D . A general note: neighbor research bonus can be rather high, but is it good? Not really, because that means a particular country is lagging behind in tech(s). Nevertheless, for simplicity countries are sorted according to total income or total technology speed, which included also neighbor research bonus.
