OE doesn't have the means to project her power much further than Austria... (no navy)Tonioz said:Spain was never offensive since kicking Venice from Spanish land almost 100 years ago. Well, looks like you think that any strong nation screws the game even without the action. I wonder why you don`t notice OE with huge income & manpower. You have to tell in each game that OE screws the game with their biggest manpower.
I was naïve back thenWell, i can`t persuade every guy with rich imagination. Forzaa, if you sold your country instead of being strong without any challenge, that doesn`t mean i should follow you. Specially funny you gave your lands to worse fighter than you.
right, I say Adam and you make it Spanish actions again... My point (and I believe of others too) is that he used a technique that comes very close to Trade Maps (which is explicitly forbidden) to gain provinces. Why does everybody think he can issue own opinion on the Spanish actions if that is done according rules ? It is annoying bitching and nothing more.
Apparently, you are of the "if it isn't explicitly forbidden it's allowed", fine, but I am not, and I consider it an unfair advantage if someone follows that school of thought.Indeed, really, answer me another question. Give me clear definition what is allowed and not allowed in fake war ? If rules doesn`t mind. Or we should always listen to the opinion of the club, who think they always have right on opinion against rules, and who think their opinion is always right and over the rules.
I said, "close to", and if it takes some pointing out to keep it at "close to" rather than "over", then that is what I do. I prefer ingame interaction, rather than Tonio restraining himself, to keep it that way.Juv95hrn said:Ah, come on! Spain is very powerful with all Italy but that doesn't mean the game is screwed. Spain has some rough times coming as we all know and I'm sure it will be a challenge to hold on to Italy. There is a very powerful OE to balance out Spain and France/England/Flanders have a certain power themselves, even if far from Spains. I think Spain would have lost it's last war if another power had interfered on Englands side. Maybe I'm wrong but if all it takes are two powers to make an impression on the superpower of the time it's not all that bad.

If you pardon a bystander saying something, I would like to point out it looks that Spain is perhaps the strongest nation of this game (something Tonio usually manages to do) but it also looks that two other strong nations can stop Spain, like England+France. Especially when Spain hasn't a leader advantage anymore this won't be a big problem.
Also, I notice the Otto's having some nice mediterrean islands. How comes if they don't have a navy to defend it?

Spain would have been unbeatable by both England and France!
Garrrr.... Me scurvy pirate friends, let's hit the Spanish treasure fleet this summer...
The time of the English pirating days might be over and England to become a law abiding nation, somewhat. The English fleet fared well in the last war but way too many young soldiers, and more importantly sons of important nobles, died during the Spanish invasion. England now has the highest death rate per capita and the nation is in mourning.
They all belong to Venice. The Sultan has so far not tried to capture any Mediterranean islands.FAL said:Also, I notice the Otto's having some nice mediterrean islands. How comes if they don't have a navy to defend it?

Barnius said:OOC: Nonono, Juv, if you are saying you paid enough for HUGE bending of the rules when you stole Portuguese maps than you failed to convince me. England simply can't just destroy century of work by Portuguese explorers and settlers by stealing maps and taking over Asian trade (no, Adalar, you did not to too good really, look at English trade, doubled since they took Portugese maps, while Portugal is still far behind) and than just say: "Those were some pirates, England has nothing against Portugal and Spain". There should be no surprise blitzkriegs in those days.
On the other hand, if anyone can do it like this, than it is you, Juv The Opportunist  .
And don't miss the "OOC" part this is not official French policy![]()

Barnius said:Thanks to Tonio, who followed that old Chinese saying "better learn a man how to catch a fish than give him fich for every meal" (or something like that) we have STATS
Adam Breit said:Well, we should have had a rule about mapstealing ... too late now.
But guys, chill, relax, take it easy ... Its just a game.
Barnius said:We had and have one about the map exchange though. Please, make the GM ruling how many provinces/sea zones can be exchanged in this turn.
Adam Breit said:can recieve 10 cities and/or sea zones.
But as I per accident used some extra ... 15 then this turn, my bad, but tonio wanted it NOW NOW NOW ...![]()
