Oh yeah. That's a deal breaker for me, one of many. Having to individually subscribe to hundred of mods/assets? no thanks.I do hope stuff like collections of mods that can be subscribed to with once click is a thing.

Sure, it makes sense. But why do you need to get rid of the Steam Workshop?. You can have both. Is there any particular reason for that not being the case?.You are correct. At the same time players on Nvidia Now, Xbox Gamepass, Epic game store, console did not have access to the wealth of mods available. I think the reasoning at CO/PDX was: How can we bring mods to these players too?
Well, it seems you don't plan on playing on Game Pass or on a console, and you don't seem to be a content creator either, so you probably have nothing to gain from this decision. This decision is not meant to improve your life but the lives of many others. I hope u understand. The outcome of this decision is pretty clear. Everyone is going to use Nexus mods and the PC and console audiences will be fragmented anyway. No one buys games on Epic so there won't be any benefit gained there. And we lose the accessibility of Steam workshop. I don't see any positives from this decision for anyone.
Will mods be supported on console?
Yes! Asset Mods will be available for Console users. Due to restrictions code mods are not possible on Console.
Console isn't going to gain from this as all the mods will just go on Nexus. Console already doesn't get scripted mods which are the main beneficial mods in CS1. I'm not sure if Gamepass can access mods on Nexus now but they didn't use to be able to. I'll say it again, I don't see any positives from this decision for anyone.Well, it seems you don't plan on playing on Game Pass or on a console, and you don't seem to be a content creator either, so you probably have nothing to gain from this decision. Wow, that adds another whole layer to the meaning of guilt trip. You know we're talking about a video game, right?. Also you know you can have both a Paradox Workshop and a Steam Workshop at the same time, right?I think the central point here is that people who bought the game on Steam will have a slightly worse platform, and they completely don't care about the other human beings who will play the game on other platforms. So, for them, it's hard to imagine what the benefit will be since they won't gain anything from it other than more players in the game.
This is my main concern. Having to use P'dox mods will be annoying, but I can live with it unless there are fewer mod creators; which would cause fewer players which would cause even fewer mods, which... etc.I'm just afraid that this system will seem inconvenient to many, and the creators will not bother with it, as a result of which we will get fewer assets and everything else.
This decision made it worse for a significant portion of the community. Consequently, it has also affected console players because the assumption that modding activity will remain the same, which is highly unlikely now, is unwarranted. Given that consoles can only access assets, the rationale behind this decision appears flimsy - to say the least. There is essentially no valid justification for this decision, and it has unquestionably harmed the game and trust, as evidenced by the reactions to today's information release.I'm just happy that I can play the game on GamePass, and I'm glad that Paradox is thinking about how to make my experience better. I love CS1 and a think I will love this one too. From the bottom of my heart, I hope everyone can have fun. That's all.
Will GeForce Now also have the same mods support as PC and console?
Friend, I haven't seen any content creators complaining about this new platform. The only concern is about what mods will be possible and the ease of creating mods. These are the real concerns of those who want to contribute. The rest are just making noise.Yes, I have to ask why. Have you ever published anything on the Steam Workshop? The only good thing about it is that it's centralized. The rating system is bad and unfair. The search is awful. Sorting is only possible with collections, but that is tiresome, too.

Ah, as long as you're content, that's what matters...I'm happy with this decision .I believe that not even one percent of the CS player base is commenting on this post, so basing whether this decision was popular or not on the comments here doesn't seem sensible.
Oh okay because you're happy the rest of us have to suffer. Cool view of the world.I'm happy with this decision .I believe that not even one percent of the CS player base is commenting on this post, so basing whether this decision was popular or not on the comments here doesn't seem sensible.
