I also played on myself and noticed that after several years (sometime near but before 1500) I suddenly got control of the Curia and was able to pass a Bull. So I guess the landless pope died at that time. Is it still necessary to grant land to the fraticelli pope via the console now? Also I was wondering why Muslim Sicily got Rome on conversion, when in the CK2 file it belonged to the Fraticelli pope. It would make sense to grant that province to FAP I think. Would the same console command work for that purpose?

Thanks for the help :)

EDIT: How do I find what number the Rome province is?
No, no need to assign land to fap.

I looked at your save and your fapope is landless in it - he owns nothing.

In the console (press ~), then enter debug_mode. It will, among other things, show you province ID numbers. More console commands can be found on the wiki.

First of all I would like to thank you modders for providing such an amazing mod.

I know you guys are working throught alot of things, including making HIP and WTWSMS convertable to Eu4, but I would like to leave a suggestion for a more distant realease.
The suggestion regards the Empire of China: if the Chinese Empire is in unrest status in ck2 make some rebels already poped up in China in eu4, if its with civil war status make many independent tags fighting for the Mandate of China(maybe also apply it if its unrest status), if its fighting against Jurchens in the status make a powerful Manchu TAG fighting against China in eu4, if its fighting against the Mongols make a powerful Mongol TAG fighting against China or, if there's an ingame map Mongolian Empire in ck2, make this Empire fight China.

Yes he is landless but in the CK2 game he owned Rome and for some reason the conversion gave Rome to Muslim Sicily instead. Can I go about giving him Rome back? It seems strange he would have lost it in the first place. Would I use "own_core <xxx> FAP" for that purpose?

Thanks

I loaded your ck2 save you provided. He owns nothing, he is landless.

Thanks but yes, I totally get that he is currently landless. I'm asking whether I can *give* him Rome and make him not landless. Or does the fact that he is currently landless mean that he can never own land no matter what?

EDIT: Apologies if I am missing something obvious here, but I am new to EU4.

You can edit your mod in absolutely any way or method you choose. You can use console commands in either CK2 pre-conversion or in EU4 post-conversion to change stuff around, though don't alter cultures or religions that way if you want to take your game to Vic2.

Yes, giving a core to FAPope will most assuredly work and you'll be able to interact with him in a normal fashion.

Great, thanks. I am planning to carry it on into Vic 2 actually. I'll attempt to transfer ownership of Rome to FAP and see how it goes. That's the only console command I intend to use, so I am hoping that won't affect Vic 2 conversion.

I am about to finish my first CK2 game ever, and want to convert it to EU4.
Is there anything I need to do before/after running the executable? Do I need to change to another version of one of the games or something like that?

Nope. Run it and have fun.

Bit lost trying to get the mod set up. How do you access the directory? The .exe file I unzipped from the mod folder doesn't appear to do anything when running and is named CK2ToEU4Converter instead of ConverterFrontend. Mod appears when starting CK2 but not sure where to go from there, any help would be appreciated!

You didn't unpack it properly. Unzip the entire zip into a new folder and then run the frontend.

Hi. I have a little problem, in CK2 I became a massive blob spread on 3 continents. I converted with the option of split the vassals in vassal states but after the conversion I still find a monolithic blob with no vassals. How can I fix it?

Only a few largest vassals will split, and only if they are eligible to do so. Generally WC-like games are not really convertible to eu4 as you'll drown due to being overgovcap.

I suggest you shatter empires entirely and play a successor state.

Alternatively put the player country in the HRE config.

There are already a indipendent HRE.

well, the idea was try to survive while the rebellions erupt everywhere.

In a converted Eu4 save, is it possible to have religious leagues in the hre with 3 or more christian denominations?(of the ones who can cause it)
We don't alter religious league mechanics from vanilla.

Could I get a quick checklist on modding the configurables folder to see and include new cultures/religions? I've been poking around in it but I have no idea if I'm missing something.

Do I just add a new entry in the Pagan Religions text file?

How do I add a new Culture- I don't see an equivalent folder for cultures

How would I add a new religion Icon?

If you want to map existing unsupported ck2 religions and cultures into something we already support in eu4, add appropriate mappings to culture_map.txt and religion_map.txt.
Otherwise, if you're trying to introduce a completely new culture/religion, you'll have to edit all the necessary files in blankMod folder which is the template for produced mods.
As for religious icons, you should look up the religions modding section of eu4's wiki and edit appropriate interface and gfx files in blankMod folder, and edit the religion strip using some tool that can handle dds files.
