Hi, I tried the converter for the first time but it crashes when I hit play in EU4. I tried rolling back the game to the patch before Leviathan, but that didn't change anything. I also didn't get any errors during conversion, just a few warnings. I attached the log and savefile, but couldn't find an errors.txt. Is this something that will just work once support for Leviathan is included?

Thanks for all your hard work!
Decide what EU4 version you want to play. For 1.30 first rollback the game, THEN convert the save. For 1.31 get de Foix converter.

Thanks for the answer! And thank you for your time making this thing
Actually, we've discussed this internally and have a plan how to bring proper monuments to those players that own Leviathan. It'll take some time, naturally, but it can be done.

I am veteran of EU, EU2, FtG and in lesser extent EU3. I do know nothing about EU4 and I wanted just move my CK2 Poland to EU4 as my first play-through. I am extremely frustrated with CK2 (90% of time it is court management) and the AI of CK2 is extremely stupid so I spent hours editing the game via console to make other countries a little bit more logical. I could just prefer my save via console but it will days before I finish this process...

Will it work if I covert the save using then replace everything except Poland in history/countries and all my provinces in history/provinces?

No, you will break quite a lot of things. If you have no experience in eu4 then modding it like so is especially unlikely to go well.

What you really need is a mod that alters custom nation selections to cost 0 points, or use your conversion as is, or if you are adventurous, try and alter it so it suits you. Just remember to have a backup.

Can't replicate. If it crashes reading your eu4 files, then you have an issue with your EU4 installation. Make sure you're on 1.31 and verify game integrity through steam. If that fails, uninstall EU4, manually delete all leftover files from it's steam installation folder, and then reinstall it.

For those interested, I did a talk about the converters (CONVERTERS AND MEGACAMPAIGN) for PdxCon. It will air at 6:40pm Pacific/9:40pm eastern/1:40am UTC on the paradox twitch:

Hello, I converted the game, added it to the playset, checked that it is enabled, and that the playset is selected, but when I started eu4 nothing changed. No error.txt file was generated.

Thank you!

According to log, you did everything right, mod is in eu4's mod folder, and all looks good. Can you post screenshots of your launcher main screen and the selected playset?

It seems that verifying the integrity of the game files solved the issue. I'm sorry for the trouble and thank you for the fast response (and for the awesome mod).

Eu4 seems to crash at the start of a semi-random month. Reinstalling did not fix. (including manually deleting both documents and install location files) I can't read the error log well enough to determine what could be causing the crash itself.

Yes, vanilla crashes at random months. Nothing to do with us.

Eh except it's completely stable since version 1.31.3 for me. It only has occurred since enabling the mod.
