Though I appreciate any time spent trying to inject more content into the building system, I did not notice any solid benefit gameplay or balance wise from the new building system.

The ethos of castles to do troop stuff and no real tax, has some wider issues. It reduces the benifits of efficient demense somewhat as the tax bonuses no longer help out that much. It also reduces the impact of the rulers stewardship and can conflict with events such as sold off castle land to boroughs (making it a solid yes every time).

Overall, though there are lots of new buildings, I think I was happier with the old chains as they were a little simpler and the building side of the game was never a huge draw for me. For example, I was already slightly confused about trade outposts and the impact of things like trade value etc with the updated buildings i am a little more confused as there seems to be even more complexity, which doesn't add too much to my experience.

I don't want to sound wholly negative so I want to end with saying, I love CK plus it makes the game an altogether much more fun and enjoyable experience! Thank you for your continued work!

Thank you for your feedback! I am very aware of the reduced impact on those modifiers (hence why things were reduced in the first place) in order to make a 100% Efficient Demesne on a 2 base tax income be less of a inflation death spiral. All of this is part of a bigger picture which will slowly be presented to the users (currently reworking the laws which will help with taxes). Most events will also be moved to a scaled income formula, but I am only one guy doing balance so please bear with me and keep leaving useful feedback :D. I also highly encourage you to join our discord channel where I am more active and can address any questions and concerns in a speedier manner.

Hotfix isnt going to help with not knowing how the new building system works. Please visit the discord channel and scroll through the "Progress" channel to understand how it works
Sorry for asking, is there a link somewhere?

I wouldn't even know what to do with them besides nerfing them

For example the ability to build some historic or special buildings as monuments, e.g. the Alhambra or the Third Temple. I feel the monument mechanic really offers some possibilities for that

https://discordapp.com/invite/F4WpJY9 < --- Here ya go bud. For the monument inquiry: sure, it won't be anytime soon, but the option is surely on the table :)

IDK if the new download was supposed to fix the gavilkind issue, i believe it was in the notes, but it's still happening for me.

I have to say, i'm not a fan of the building changes. One of the reasons I like this mod is it was CK2 PLUS as in CK2 PLUS a bunch of stuff. Not radical changes.

I am reworking the Laws as we speak in order to fix all issues related to them*.
I love when I get mixed feedback from people: can't please them all...Changing the map, reworking secret societies, adding chalcedonians. Yeah pretty radical my duh. Luckily this is a overhaul mod :D

Sorry for the dumb question, @mightnight , but the new building system... How does it work, exactly? It seems I can build four structures (and only four structures), but I'm not really able to get a large number of leavies. As it stands, I'm only able to recruit 1486 troops from my home county, when I was able to recruit 3000+ before (the last version). Its... A pretty bad debuff.

Documentation can currently be found in the Progress channel of our Discord. We are getting around to write some sort of read me about the new mechanics just so people know what is going on. Remember that if it affects you, it also affects the AI

It is reassuring to know that the AI is also struggling with crippling depression

So i understand correctly that buildings disappearing from the list of buildings available for construction at certain moment in time are the correct behavior of the game, and not a bug?

Made me lol hardcore.

Yes. I can make them show up, but unavailable to build if you'd like. I just thought they cluttered the window a bit

I really like you new system it is amazing! Although probably yes, I would make them show up. Not seeing any option is probably what makes some people feel confused.

I know this is probobly an unpopular opinion, but I think that these new mechanics are... Well. Its, in my opinion, a bad thing. I know my opinion really, HONETLY doesn't mater, but still. Limiting choice and options for whatever reason, its... I don't see the point. Why do this?
Also I don't use discord, so that doesn't help.

Cause I like a challenge in my games which comes from AI behavior and not cheaty modifiers *cough* civ *cough*

Actually, it gives you more choice as there are physically more buildings. You just can't build _all_ of them and have to plan.
