Not sure it's the right place to ask, but was wondering - whenever you start doing CK3toEU5, is the plan to convert population culture/religion the way it is now in EU4toVic2/3, with slow change from the time of conversion?
This is rather unlikely. EU4 has province history that records dates of changes, specifically culture/religion conversions. CK3 has no such info, we only see the final state at the time of conversion.

Hey!

When using the converter, the Holy Roman Empire mechanics don't get created for the Holy Roman Empire itself. The empire is sharded, but the mechanics just don’t appear. If you assign the mechanics to a different empire instead, everything works fine.

You selected this option in the converter:

You're supposed to use that only if you're editing the file in question and selecting a non-HRE empire.

Use the first option for normal HRE.

Found an error that stops conversion on Japanese system locale (see below).

Converter works fine up until tributary conversion, when the converter spits out
Code:
[ERROR] Unicode ¶̃}bsOª^[Qbg̃}`oCg R[h y[Wɂ 肜¹
Setting to ANSI rendered it properly as
Code:
 Unicode 文字のマッピングがターゲットのマルチバイト コード ページにありません。
, or "The Unicode character has no mapping in the target multibyte code page." I changed my system locale to English (United States), and the converter worked fine. I've attached both of my logs.

Thank you for the report but there's not much we can do about this. We use default windows functions to translate from UTF8 into win1252 which EU4 uses, and those apparently depend on locales. Good to hear you found a workaround though.

My game keeps crashing around 1661, and I have played without the converter mod, verified, reinstalled, etc. and from what I can tell it's a converted mod issue.
It always happens on the 18th of any given month.
For context, I am also using Xorme, Fast Universalis, Responsible Blobbing and Betterblobs, and have converted with Rajas of Asia and from Imperator with TI.
From what I can remember, this always happens when I convert with Asia, and I don't think I had this issue with non-Asia games.

There's a number of issues with the conversion, including stuff like this

This means rajas of asia are not actually supported any more as there's a ton of missing links and stuff.

Seeing how official Asia expansion will drop soon, I don't think anyone will bother to fix these issues with ROJ and we'll be dropping it altogether.

Ah that's a shame, thanks. Also, then, which version does work for the conversion?

No idea, roa support was done by a contributor, I had no involvement nor do I follow roa development. To get a conversion you'd have to roll back both ck3 + roa at that time, as well as the converter.

Not worth it, imho, just wait a few more months instead.
