a few people had the idea to try to collect all the wishes and suggestions into an organized list and I decided to try it. I hope you support this endeavor and reply with your suggestions and wishes.

Let's try to agree on a few rules:
- Please only post your suggestion in this thread, I think we should keep this thread clean and move the discussion about the suggestions to their respective threads.
- If your suggestion has it's own discussion already, post the link and I will add it to the list.
- Please try to sort your suggestion into one of the existing categories or suggest a new category for the list.
- I would like suggestions about the best way to permanently collect support for the various suggestions and wishes.

I would like to suggest a few things that go along with road building guides.

1. Allow to constrain the angle of the roads and perhaps have a slider that set the angle from 0-90 degrees.
2. While drawing a road, have a display that shows the current angle and number of squares that I have already drawn. This will make it easier to create those nice circles!
3. Speaking of circles, add a circle or ellipse road drawing tool.
4. Create a "3 point arc" road drawing tool. You specify the start and ends of the road segment and the drag the mouse to set the curve. Here's an example: 3 point curve tool
5. Add some way to draw parallel roads. When trying to extend the highway, getting both lanes to follow the same path is almost impossible and the result looks very poor.
6. Add a grid that can be toggled on and off to aid in placing roads.
7. Add more drawing guides to help with drawing roads next to others.
 
I'd like to suggest few transport-related things:

1. A long-distance bus station, which brings tourists to the city by bus, similar to train station/airport. It can be a cheap and early (but less effective) alternative for trains, or useful in cities without rail access.
2. Off-the-map suburbs - map edges generate people arriving by car or other transport (like tourists) to work in the city, if there are free jobs. Maybe, the reverse thing too - jobless people can try to find work in neighboring cities. While it can make the game easier, it is reasonable, because now highways serve mostly freight function, but in reality most of the highway traffic are commuters.

EDIT: forgot the third one

3. New bus/metro lines should have different colour by default. Also, instead of (or in addition to) the current color-chooser there should be a pre-defined palette to choose colors faster.

I'd like to suggest the following additions to the roads.
If you can provide the building blocks, the community can do the rest through the asset editor.

- One way roads lane splitting (4 to 2+2, 4 to 3+1, 6 to 4+2, etc.)
- One way roads lane merging (4+2 to 6, 2+2 to 4, etc.)
- Transitions between single two way street to seperate one way streets and vice-versa (6 lane two-way to 2x3-lane one-way, 4 lane two-way to 2x2-lane one-way)
- Draw two one way roads with a single tool (so the roads will be nicely parrallel)
- Multi level roads (highway above with avenue below for example)

PS. The current roads system still deserve a big compliment. There is room for improvement, but i'm very impressed with the current possibilities. Hands down the best game in the genre.

Please have a loook in the current posts> You missing a lot. Like:

Transport
- Bus panel (see here http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/...-figure-it-out)
- The same for trains
- The same for metro's
- The same for trams (if they come)
(Panels should come forward when clicking on a "Bus depot" or via overview Transport --> Extra Buttons))


UI:
- Clicking on "Name" should give City overview/Renaming panel

I quickly read the list and I found almost all of my suggestion. I didn't find one, and if it was there and i missed it, I apologise.

I suggest the creation of either several roads of the same type with different max velocity, or a mechanic to increase max velocity (based on nearby buildings, or on policies, idk) so we can use different type of fast car connections, not only the highway.
 
High tech (non polluting) industry zones/type and city policies for this just like high tech housing. High tech farming (vertical farming for example) should be also nice and usefull. These are really missing ones :(
 
It would be nice if wind have a direction as well as water. It has affect on clouds (that bringed by a possible season/weather dlc) and determinte their direction. For example: i have a very dirty industry district, and the wind direction is pointed to the city -> so its a high risk of acid rain shower (beside of normal air pollution factors) for my citizens that is generated by my dirty industry and influenced the water ecosystem. After the rain fell down, buildings would looked like after fire, coused some death, and because of ground leaking it generates some ground pollution as well.
 
Here's a couple for you guys:

1. I'd like to see an undo button that lasts for 3 sec or whatever since it's really easy to mis-click.
2. When building something and it says "this space is already in use", specify which building is causing the problem.
***3. A diagnostics "consultant" you can hire to recommend fixes to bad traffic areas within a certain budget/space constraint.***
4. More flexible interchange builder, especially building stacks in tight spaces. Merge lanes would be nice.
5. The ability to turn off that twitter sound.
6. A keyboard shortcut to close all open "views" and panels.
7. More pre-fab interchanges.
8. The ability to make your own initial highway connection. 6 divided lanes are too much for a starting town.

Apologies if I'm misunderstanding this system in-game, but do offices and industrial zones both satisfy the industrial demand level equally? It seems like they should have separate demand levels based on whether the demand is due to unemployed highly educated citizens, or a need for more commercial product.
 
-Tools/UI upgrades to help with road construction. Basicly a way to help with making things like good circles and parallel roads.

-A few more road options, especially a normal 3 lane road would be great, currently the only options for city roads are either 2 or 6. the 4 way roads are just a set of 2 lane one-way roads and imo add little other then small space saving and convenience.

-A better UI for public transport management. Some overview of how full buses are and how much traffic they service without having to select individual buses. Same for metro.
 
Here is my list which I wrote yesterday. Some points are already inside I think from what I saw. So ignore the doubled. ^^


1. Car Accidents
I liked them in so much in CiM1, why they disappered ? Could even be extended from simple car engine break down, to heavy mass car crash, or what about some bank robbers who try to escape ?

2. Special rights for Duty Men
Why police, firefighter and ambulance can't ignore road laws ? They could drive over red, drive in wrong direction and other cars could make them place / free road, like in reality.

3. Air pollution
Come on, we have noise, ground and water pollution, but where is air pollution, combined with wind directions ?

4. Disasters
Basically people can become sick, well. And basically your dam can flood some areas. But after the water is gone, the houses are fine, no need for firefighter or other crafts to come to pump out the cellars ? Why no real epidemics to fight against ? Some real disasters, and of course more of them would be really cool ! Each industrial specialization could even cause it's own disaster (acid rain from ore industry, poisining air cloud coming from oil(chemical) industry, animal flu from farming industry, and so on)

5. Electricity Balance
Sadly it is really fast seen what power sources are the best. Some balancing would be great, so that it is always beneficial to think about, which one to choose.

6. More natural rescources
So cool they are in the game, but how about more of them ? What about rare earths, noble gases, natural gas, radioactive materials, and so on ?

7. Difficulty modes with Achievements
Sadly the hard mode deactivates achievements, as it is designed as a mod. Please put achievements back there. And add even more difficulty modes for the hardcore player, thanks !

8. Economical rebalancing
I think it's quite to easy to make money, especially due to huge amount of natural rescources. I think it is well that they have a great reserve, but do they have to have such a big amount of ground. I can put there a whole big district and earn my ass green. But of course it is also about the map design in general.

9. Public transport varity
So cool that you took this part into the game ! But give us please more choice, similar to like in the CiM series. I would like to chose what trains run on my rails, what buses and planes I use and so on. Each of course with its own values, strength and weaknesses. And where the hell are trams ?

10. Public transport control
Please give us the choice to design each route easily by itself, how many vehicles there drive, what prices they need. Districts can even work as price zones, too.

11. Day/night cycle
A simlpe feature with huge graphical effect.

12. Technological progression
It would be really cool to have some kind of technological progression beside of unlocking buildings by "achievements". Advanced wind power should come later than "normal" one. Fusion after Nuclear, solar power should be weak in the beginning and become stronger by time due to advanced technologies. Also the trains, trams, buses, planes, whatever could be unlocked similar to CiM by time with more efficient ones in the future.

13. Cargo Transport control
So great system which still has a lot of potential. Would like to have more control about that. How about to influence what cargo trucks are prefered (for example by distric policies) ? Where are vans and trucks as cargos ? They could deliver much smaller amount but with less noise polution, well for residental areas. Also some control about the cargo trains (what engines, length of trains, what power source they use, and so on) and the ships would be cool. And moreover, somehow to control what stations and what kind of transport will be preferred over others would be cool. For example I would say that train station 2 has to be prefered over train station 1 and than in general ships have to be favored over trains. Ah and please let me make the street bigger in front of the ship harbor. :D

14. Tourism
Hotels, hotels, hotels, where they are ? Hotels would be ideal as an own zone. Better even as an "tourism zone". Investors could build there hotels and attractions. Land value would have deeper imapct, but education much less, as dumb people also can serve drinks in the bar. :D Moreover pollution should play also a huge role.

15. Road lane control
If I have intersections it would be perfect to make it possible to control or change on EACH intersection how the lanes are dedicated, so that it will be hugely customizable how roads have to work on intersections.

16. Traffic lights control
In some cases it would be nice to remove or to add traffic lights by yourself fully. And other cases I really would like to control how the times of the traffic lights are.

17. Car AI
In general the car ai is already very well in choising pathes, much better than I expected. Thanks for that ! Please let the cars just chose free lanes instead of gathering all of them in one a hundred meters long. ;)

18. More civil services
One of the most important parts of a city-builder. Give us more ! Possible are road cleanage service, breakdown trucks service, street and traffic lights repairment, taxi services, tour buses for tourists, food delivery (especially for old people), school buses, and much more !

19. Road choice
2 lane road 1 direction and 6 lane road 1 direction, but no 4 lane road 1 direction ? And where are 3 lane roads (except for highway) ? Please add the missing stuff, thanks ! :)
Ah and let us please easily "upgrade" directions of road. Yet if you want to change the direction of a road, you have to rebuild it, which is quite annoying.

20. District policies modifyable as assets
Would be cool to create and download own assets for distric policies just as it is possible with buildings.

21. International affairs
Some feeling that we are a part of an outer world would be awesome. Immigration waves, decisions to absorb refugees, development and investion plans by goverment, trading contract with other cities or big companies, events of resource prices (global market crisis, lack of specific resources, market flooded by cheap ores, war/conflict times with sanctions, and so on). It's nothing big but with big flavour effect. Especially trading contracts would be awesome (renting ambulance/firefighter/police), selling or buying garbage, selling/buying contracts of specific ressources on a fixed price for specific time to secure a price in the long run (for example if the price would be low), and so on..

22. Building upgrades
Yeah, that was a great feature in SimCity. So cool it would be to upgrade all special buildings (from monument, trainstations, to police station over to the park). Each upgrade could have up- and down side with limited slots (more attraction to the park for higher maintaince and higher noise pollution)

23. Duty cars control
Why there is no city-builder in which I can decide what kind of vehicle all duty crafts use. I want to decide what police cars are in usage and which firefighter engines. And these choices should make a lot of difference in price, maintaince and efficiency.

24. Autosave
Come on, it's a must !

25. Metro stations
Please let them be add-able to the roads themself like it was possible in CiM. I don't like to spend zoning ground(own ground) for them, and I thin many people think similar. And please with multiple entrances (both sides of the street, or 4 entrances on a 4-street intersection

26. Deluxe Edition upgradeable
Please let people buy and Deluxe upgrade. I didn't bought because I really was not sure, if this game would be just another disappointment. Gladly we wasn't disappointed, so for me I would like the Deluxe Edition now.
