This is speculation based on a typo:

First of all, Airports did not release in 2023. Second, it says *RELEASED FALL 2023* How can anything be released in the fall of a year that has just started? It's quite clear they meant the fall of 2022, when CCP's like the new map pack, Heart of Korea and Skyscrapers dropped. They have not mentioned a release date, but I seriously doubt this will take them a whopping *6 to 8 months* to port over. Especially not when the "Africa in Miniature" drops in the very near future.
I think the same. Someone could very well have typed...

Guess your right the more I’m reading it it does seem like a typo because airports came out last year in Feb. So the others I’m now confused do they mean fall 2023 released or we have to wait another month or 2?

Is the Remastered version free?
  • Yes, if you already own the Base Game or any DLCs, the Remastered version of those products will be available to you without any additional cost.
Will I be able to play with all my DLCs?
  • Currently, all DLCs until the 2023 release of "Airports" are Remastered. We are currently working on the remastered versions of the remaining DLCs (Plazas & Promenades, Financial Districts and all Content Creator Packs and Radio Stations released fall 2023) They will be available soon!
Is cross saves between the versions possible?
  • No, unfortunately not. The saves will only be available on the version you used when saving your City.
Will I be able to unlock all 25 tiles?
  • Yes!
Is the Remastered only available on PS5 and Xbox X|S
  • Yes
Will PS4 and Xbox One also get remastered?
  • No, unfortunately, the Remastered versions will only be available on PS5 and Xbox X|S. One of the main features we wanted to add was 25 tiles to build onto and sadly the older hardware of the PS4 and Xbox One would not be able to handle the simulation scale.
When will I get access to the new features?
  • Release of Cities: Skylines remastered is February 15th!
Can I still play my old Cities: Skylines Saves?
  • Yes, you can still play the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Cities: Skylines, there you have access to your old saves.
If I buy any of the New DLCs that are not remastered yet, will I get them later?
  • Yes, any content purchased for either version will give you a free copy of the Remastered version once that piece of content becomes available.
Will remastered be available for PC?
  • This is a Console-only update. The PC version of the game already has similar features that have not been accessible to the Console community - until now!
Will I have access to the remastered version automatically?
  • You need to download the remastered version of the base game and your DLCs manually, but they will be available without any additional cost automatically.
Why can't we have cross-saves?
  • The architecture of Cities: Skylines Remastered is different from its predecessor, to be able to accommodate Higher graphic quality, increased buildable tiles and overall better performance. Because of the technical limitations of old-gen consoles, we could not apply the same changes to that version, meaning it's two different code bases for the games - hence cross saves are not possible.
Can I upgrade my current Cities to the Remastered version?
  • See the answer above regarding save games and cross saves.
I can't access Remastered in Japan!
  • The release of Remastered on PS5 in the Japanese store is slightly delayed, it will be available soon!
Hi I have a few questions:

1. Will the PlayStation edition receive the mod browser we have been missing?
2. What time on feb 15TH will it release

I see no mention if our unlocks carry over, please tell me we dont have to unlock everything again. Also please add a cheat option that unlocks all buildings instead of having to play scenario's to unlock since most of us are into the sandbox part of the game. We been asking for this for many years. On PC they can use mods but on console we cant so please add this option

As it is essentially a new version of the game, which is part of the reason savegames can't be transferred, expect to have to unlock all of the buildings again, yes.

This is unfortunately a Sony problem, not a Tantalus Media, Colossal Order or even a Paradox problem. When Sony lifts their heavy restrictions on the use of custom sounds, textures etc, is when this can actually be considered in the first part.
Having said that, the vast majority of the Mod Browser is the work of a modder called Quad, who at this point just basically deserves their own pack for the amount of buildings they've made. It would be worth way more as a tool if it wasn't almost only Quad's stuff on there and the limit wasn't so pitifully tiny.

We need increase node, building, vehicle, and agent limit increase for PC. Does any one know if they are increased for this console update.

Just downloaded the remastered version to my Xbox series x - all of the DLC that I brought via the season passes (mass transit etc.) is saying I need to purchase again. I can grab the DLC for free for the ones that wasn’t part of the season passes (airports, sunset etc) is this going to be fixed ?

Might be a bug of some kind.

Im the same and cant find anything about disk version ive had the disk version since it was release but deleted and downloaded the ps version for ease so i didnt have to insert the disk everytime
I don't see why people that got it on ps+ would have to pay for it again as we have technically paid for it through our ps+ subscription.

Anyway, I'm tired of these flicks. So far, almost none of the updates have gone smoothly. Is the extra icing on the cake that all the accessories are not yet up to date? Didn't they know there would be a remastered version? Are they not thinking ahead? There is always something in the eyes of the customers. That's not cool!

I agree its not fully fair as most wouldnt have tried the game until it was free then they are hooked and now have to pay for the remastered but as a business man i agree with charging those who got it free

So wait now we have to pay for it? I thought it was free for all DLCs including base game but now we have to pay. That’s bad but at least I’m on vacation and not home till the 20th of Feb. So hopefully they’ll fix it before I come home.

Nevermind it said PS players are having issues not Xbox series x so guess I’m good.

I have a PS Plus version of Cities: Skylines. Why can't I access Remastered for free?
  • If you own a PS Plus version of Cities: Skylines that you claimed from the 2020 giveaway of the game on PS Plus, you will not be able to access Remastered for free. You will have to buy the game to own it & get a free upgrade for

Considering they got paid by sony to have it as a ps+ game and they didn't mind taking my money for the DLC, I think it's a bit unfair, if I'd downloaded it and never spent any money on it I'd understand charging me for the upgrade.

Apparently it's because if you were to let other people borrow/use the disc they would be granted the remaster game for free, and thus would be used to give an unlimited number of people the game for free.

i’ve kept all dlc during upgrade but industries. it says i have to pay for it even though i have season passes and all that. that’s a shame because i was hoping to utilise 25 tiles and have some nice industrial parks
