Playing Germany - Denmark was conquered as usual, a couple of months later I created a puppet, and after a few days this puppet (allied with me) "accepted my conditions" again and surrendered... so my plan to be slightly less oppressive failed :(

well yes but are you sure he lead troops there? i just think having Falkenhausen in CHI is enough for a representation.

Are you sure on this major? I have one source that puts him there as an Air Affairs advisor under Falkenhausen and leading Chinese troops in combat (Berlab, S. 'for China's Benefit': The Evolution and Devolution of German Influence on Chinese Military Affairs 1919 - 1938).
what about making him a TT then?

Try this file, should replace the file in \db\events\vanilla. Blocks 6193 if DEN a GER puppet or allied with them.

If it's for game-balance, no problem. I just know how committed you are to getting your own data absolutely accurate so thought you might appreciate it. The source is actually a doctoral dissertation which I thought was unpublished, but hunting around I turned up web access to it. I've included that below in case you want to use it at any time.

thanks a lot - seems that i have to think about Streccius again. the diss could be a gold mine, esp Appendix 1 and 2 (maybe more for 1933 modders than 1936 modders, though).

There are some problems with upgrading Reserve division with Combat engineers. I upgrade from 1935 model to 1939 model. And I can press +upgrade multuiple times and no result. I can check models in savegame and send a savegame as well.

Researching 1939 Medium Tank Production Model causes popup about Garrison units upgrade. And the Garrison is built with MP brigade.

Yet there is nothing in technology info that supports that.

Another issue. I think there are some hidden technologies. Anyways I just stolen bluepring for "Severe War Casualities" as Germany from France. Couldn't find that tech in techtree. If so I think all countries should have blueprints for those unused techs, so they dont waste money on stealing it.

Reserve divs use the Militia division slot, not all new functions may be available for this and the in-production upgrade may be one of thse nto available.
The upgrade message is not caused by CORE as it happened in vanilla as well sometimes.

Applied the latest 1.8 beta version and CORE does not work with it - I get a CTD when the campaign is loading (save games affected also).

That's because the last Beta has new vars in the db\misc.txt file which CORE does not define, such as shore bombardment cap. They guys who develop CORE needs to take the latest misc.txt and apply their changes to it.

Devs, you need to update your first post in which you shall state that current version of CORE does not work with the latest version of 1.8 beta until you update your variables.

The current Beta is for 1.07 and you use it with 1.08 at your own risk. We are aware of the misc.txt changes. 1.08 is under development, which is something we welcome. 1.08 will change continuously, the more it changes the happier we are. It is also clear that we will move to 1.08 when it is finished and not sooner.

Hi Folks.
Not sure if this is CORE or 1.08 issue (I am running 1.08B6 with CORE 060014b) but:
Playing as Turkey, when Turkey gets "Partial Mobilisation" the tool tip info shows that amongst the benefits it gets "Blueprint for 1938 economic recovery". Turkey however does not use this great depression recovery path - instead using the external recovery. Hardly earth shattering I know :) but I thought I would mention it.

I think this might be because of adding Engineers to Reserve division - this adds retooling to no-retooling unit and it f*cks it up. Will do some more testing, but I have no problem with upgrading non-brigaded Reserves.

On the other hand - Germany has 1939 Small Arms and 1940 Heavy Arms blocked. It's not WAD, because I already have 1941 and 1942 Small and Heavy Arms researched. And the tech required to have it unlocked is long researched - Agricultural Economy.

GER follows the Military Economic Recovery Path (or something like that). The benefits of 1939 Small Arms and 1940 Heavy Arms are included in this path already (compared to the way democracies have to go). Therefore you won´t be able to research them as GER (at least that´s what the devs told us).

Thanks, I was afraid there is something missing. It's still a beta so I write what I find and ask questions.

A little feedback:

British needs to react more on sealion. They haven't brought any more divisions to beach defence. Landing took my 3 attempts. With low org transports it's very frustrating but after 2 weeks I managed. What they did is counterattack with 3 armour when my forces landed. They actually killed both of landing mountaneers divisions but I managed to bring in some armour luckily. It seems there are some persistant events that force Royal Navy to defend the channel but all I saw was 3 battleships. The UK airforce is very competent on the other hand. I could only get local air superiority of channel and beachhead to bring in the bombers. 12 interceptors were enought. with 1938 doctrines.

Oh and after whole island are occupied there is some persistant event every 3-4 days that says "protect channel med".

External recovery is "new", which means it came along in CORE 0.41. So probably this blueprint was not removed.
