Can't give you the specifics, lolli, but there's a tooltip you can bring up for each slider move that tells you what effect it will have. I'm surprised at the differences you've found between nations - perhaps it's a product of different national ideas.

Hi, I was playing a fine game with Japan and in august '43 the game freezed and I had a error message: 'A not yet described event command' followed by something like, 'strlen(str) + 1'. I reloaded several times from autosave but had the same thing. Any solutions?

ONPM indeed. Here is the save just prior to the crash: http://www.filedropper.com/j1943august1befbug. Thanks.
I may have nailed it, JAP Pacific Phase 5 to 7 AI events were not marked as AI-only events thus firing for human players as well.
Please backup old file and replace it with attached version. File location is in \mod-CORE2\db\events\core_AI\Vanilla_AI\

I got a crash 24 hours after loading a further continued save as JAP, any other nation showed no problem. With this fix JAP is able to continue.

Nice catch, Denniss! :)

Very strange. Did they win the war against Shanxi in 1936? Or did they somehow remain in an eternal stalemate?

Erenhot and Xilinhot should be ceded by Japan to MMG when the MMG wins. MMG is kept out of an alliance prior to this intentionally, to avoid an early entry of Japan into the war.

I see out of a corner of the screenshot that Guangxi is still around?

There must be a-historical aspects in this game ...

China and Xibei have divided up Communist China?

okay, that solves it, they were in an eternal stalemate and I didn't use them when I was advancing in China. Regarding that the other nations are around, I had the 'Fate of China' event in early '39 splitting them up.
Another question for the further gameplay; it's now Dec. '41, I finished my preparations for Pearl Harbor having built up 10 carriers of the Taihō class and more modern CL, I don't get the US embargo event, could it be that my belligerency is too low now? and isn't the alliance to Siam event around anymore? or do I have to invite them, because concerning my planned invasion of the Raj, a puppeted Siam is definitely better ;-)

Can you open the save file and check for the flag

suiyuan_45days

?

something odd happened with yugoslavia in my game:

YUG first joined axis in the end of 1940 - and is at war with the Allies --> ok
YUG broke the alliance very shortyl after --> ok
GER got the decision if YUG should be invaded --> I chose YES -->ok
BUT: YUG is still at war with the Allies, GER is NOT at war with YUG --> NOK

something in the event-chain got wrong

For analysis: except a German Sealion (March to Octobre 1940) after an early victory in france (Nov 1939) nothing unusal happened - especially nothing on the balcan, ITA didn't even declare war on greece early an left ROM alone

Hmmm, this is more or less a slightly modified vanilla event. It may be caused by multiple Axis alliances (breaks only one alliance) or the leave_alliance command has to above the separate peace entries. Do you have some saves?

in the tech screen, armor&artillery tab: middle column two techs are labeled wrong.
'46 Heavy SPA: clicking on it says 1947 medium tank based spa (1947)
'48 modern spa: says 1950 mbt based spa (1950)

Thanks for pointing this out, will be fixed.

I am not sure if the following is actually a bug: The casualty tap does not seem to keep track of losses correctly. Perhaps somebody else has noticed, or is just me? :)
