Corrupt installation file?

I've tried installing Victoria several times and have the same thing happen every time:

At 78% of the way through installation, on a file named C:....\Victoria\music\8.553596-16.mp3, the process stops and gives me an error dialog box saying "Corrupt installation file."

I tried loading the patch over the 'corrupt' installation, but the patch doesn't think I have the game installed.

Please don't tell me this is a bad install disk......I bought the game after finding it in a store when I was out of town.

Can you copy that file manually to the Harddrive?

I thought of the same thing, but could not find it. Looks like it maybe packed within the setup file?

Have you looked at the CD to see if you can see anything obviously wrong with it like a scratch or dirt ...

Yep......not a scratch on it.

What publisher version do you have?
Their logo will be on the CD.

Can you move the whole thing to the HD and try and install from there?

Just tried this three times and get the same error message about 3/4 of the way through copying the setep.exe file:

Error Copying File or Folder
Cannot copy setup: The parameter is incorrect.

Since Paradox does not write the installer for SF it is hard for me to diagnose the problem.
