Tough life being a merc, especially when events conspire against you. It's too bad you can't get a retainer when you take a contract. I assume it's a game limitation. Good update.

Well, a double dose today. Luckily, I had a bit of extra time and caught up quickly. Seems Crittark needs to show a well rounded aspect to himself and his group to find success. We will see if their dream is finally within their reach or if they must continue moving through a long task list.

Lord Edryn needs to understand that Crittark saved his skin. The boy would've been usurped otherwise. I can understand why Crittark is so angry. Did you at least get paid? How goes the murder plot?
Interesting chapter (although lately I have noticed some redundancies). If they are going to get the young lord to give them the land they had best work quickly. It appears the lad has gray scale and it is advancing.

That's quite the whirlwind of posts over the past couple of days. Good to see Crittark and the gang stretching their wings into other endeavors. If The Mummer caught wind of the plot to 'off' Ondros, then what are the chances word reaches Lord Ondros himself? Obviously there are loose lips that need controlling. The army fought a battle without a leader? Or was it an NPC we haven't been introduced to yet?
Well... if you want spoilers... I'm in 102 AC atm, so 7 years in the future.... The boy is still alive... in fact, many who tried to kill him died themselves...
Oh man... the 'Sunset Plague of 99' was deadly... so many died...

The whole story took me down a whole new path, like in real life...
While the Ondros story... both gets a CRAZY TWIST with an assassin actually sent after Crittark and shows up in the most unexpected places... AND a somewhat sad mundane conclusion...

Delicately not, if anything it will be like removing a maggot from the cheese.
He probably wont be able to put it in so many words, but he has a sense of honor - which is why he rushed to the Bellmore Boy's aid in the first place.
He already viewed himself as a subject of the Bellmores, he was also only willing to go after Ondros because he was a villainous upstart lord.
The Bellmore Boy not only didn't repay him, but in fact stabbed him in the back - even worse, put the life of his men in danger!
In Crittarks eyes this is unforgivable, and if they were clansmen he would have bashed the boys head in...
There is also the scales aspect of it, Crittark is now firm convinced he was marked by the old gods as a bad man for all to see, so its almost a divine mission to get rid of the boy - who is a zealot of the '7 new gods'.

The Castellan is 'the hand of the king' position, and it is a hybrid between the wife and advisor.
You can choose between two sets of actions - depending on the 2 highest stats of your Castellan/Hand.
Atm I have one who has high Stew and Dip, so I can either;
Stew:
1. +# to Stewardship, +% to stewardship lifestyle xp.
2. Vassal Tax & Levies +%
Diplo:
1. +# to Diplomacy, +% to Diplomacy lifestyle xp.
