firewall maybe? or router? turn em off and if nothin else works go to google search winsockfix and download it. Run it and try agian on a rehost.
Ack. Several things to try. First, write down the IP, go out of Vnet, try to join by Internet.

I load E right. I have a fire wall and pretty sure a router. How do I take them down? As you post that im gonna try the internet way! Im sorry everyone I thoght the sticky page about routers was only for those who hosted
OK, my IP is edited for anti-hackerness. Try the various procedures suggested, and join by Internet. If you get in, you'll be in an empty lobby; type something, the rest of us will see it (but you won't be able to see our replies) and we'll know to pick you up. Good luck.

Nope, stickies are for everyone! Not sure about firewalls, you would have to look at the documentation. Incidentally, do try minimising CK and checking that you haven't got the Windows popup 'Do you want to let this program connect to the Internet". If you've got it, give permission. For some reason this extremely annoying popup is actually a popunder, which can lead to some confusion.

Oh thank god lol. I manged to find a firewall my stupid dad didn't know about. Took it down. However ports I still need to know how to open.
EDIT: Didn't work...you guys go on without me. *sigh* Guees I'll have to join next time if I find out the problem.
