I got a good impression. The difficulty only depends on waiting for the right random event to trigger. And so it is quite possible to get gold. I was 2 points short of the second award. I really liked it, waiting for the next challenge.

I wanna know how these cosmetics are gonna work when ck3 releases, for people who didnt bother with the challenges and for future cosmetics they are gonna release. Will there be a marketplace for your character cosmetics? Would it be microtransactions?

You can see the cosmetic items and how many points you need for each in ck2. It's stuff like facial hair that you can use on your character

I can't. I'm on Linux. The Monarch's Journey and all related rewards do not even show up for me in the game.

I just hope this cosmetic add-ons aren't slowly opening doors for a lootbox system. A grand strategy with lootboxes, imagine that. I don't know, maybe I'm just paranoid after bad experiences with other companies but today you can't be sure with anything.
I wouldn't mind a few micro transactions for a stand alone game. I am happy that they didn't turn it to MMORPG with pay to win system.

Swearing fealty to France or whoever wins in England makes getting the provinces much easier, as you can fight vassals and not the entire realm
Was my method too complex? I opted to seduce William's daughter to get a son with a claim (and get the 5 sons challenge) -> allied HRE ->won a war putting my now half-brother on the throne->murdered him.

This would be really disgusting. But due to the DLC policy I assume this will not happen. Because you dont have a lot left then for the DLCs.

Is there a planned deadline for us to achieve these rewards?

So... are we going to talk about the fact that you folks chose Konan II as the character for this fun romp but didn't solve the typo that made his predecessor be written as Conan, so they are not considered as having the same name and thus Konan II is Konan ler in game? lol

If CKIII go for lootbox, I'm definitelly not gonna buy it. So I really hope it doesn't.

I posted this on Steam but I might as well post it here:

"So I find it very interesting to give players different goals when one wouldn't know what to make of a new game.

But on the other hand I finished the challenges in 21 years with the starting character and I'm thinking there could be even deeper challenges to keep me interested in this "challenge mode" they've introduced.

Now, I know this is supposed to be a thing to unlock cosmetics in CK3 but in all honesty I hope this mode will be also available in the next game and as it is now I think it's a bit lacking.

For instance: in this Brittany play you need to "Recreate Breton" by holding 15 specific counties. My idea to go a bit further would be to unite the celtic tribes by holding the Kingdoms of Brittany, Wales, Ireland and Scotland, and maybe even England."
