Well, like it says in the title, I get a CTD when my king dies. This is specific to my king, (Rupprecht von Habsburg, King of Germany.) in my current 1066 game - it doesn't seem to be a problem for any other ruler. Whenever he dies, either by illness, natural causes, or by using 'die', I get an immediate CTD.
I loaded up as the King of Hungary, in the same game, paused the game, and killed the King of Hungary, using 'die', and there was no problem. Everything worked normally. I then used 'die' on my own king (The King of Germany.), whilst still as Hungary, and he died, but his heir didn't inherit (He was merely shaded out to indicate death.) and his dates appeared as '1067-0.' It was as if the game couldn't assign him a death date for some reason. I unpaused the game, and the game crashed after a few days.
I haven't been able to replicate this again. I tried doing the same thing as the King of France and I got an immediate CTD.
He has a few Kingdom titles, (Germany, Bohemia, Burgundy, Croatia, Lithuania and Italy, iirc.) and quite a lot of claims, and he's rich, but I see no reason why that should be causing it.
I'm using the 17th(?) of March Beta. I'll patch to a more recent version, see what happens, and report back. Any suggestions in the meantime are appreciated.
