Why isn't their a battle summary like in EUIII. This is something I really miss, both in telling me exactly what went on, and when a battle is finished. The high priority message in the corner, even with it set to pause, just isn't nearly as noticable. An option to get an actuall pop up would be much more useful for both battles and when your advisors have finished a building.

Thanks for the answers kapten Gars.

Just wondering about the 25 point honor threshold. I think honor should impact your relations more dynamically. I find it odd that when your honor is 24 you get a big negative impact in your relations, but get one point more and all is well. It feels too much like hitting magic numbers.

Agreed. A dynamic system would be a lot better.

-Will the 'you can only ask the father/grandfather to marry a daughter' rule be changed in a patch or will you add an option to the characterlist to filter out people who can't be married (random courtiers, widows, and orphans).

If you use the marriage button on the character screen instead of the one on the diplo screen, this should be the case.

-In the demo that doesn't seem to work?

No, on your character or his childrens' (courtiers too? I forget) character screen there should be a marriage button which will present you with a list of possible wives.

but it doesn't work for everyone, i mean, some courted people don't have that option, including all my advisers and my kokujin or other daimyo, i take it that the kokujin and daimyo are landed, but how come about my advisers? i mean, they are GOOD, like, with top knotch abilities in the field they're serving in. i'd like to see if their kids would be able to carry on their responsibilities when their fathers die xD

The ones you build stack, but anything your vassal build's does not affect you and there is no way to affect what they build.

i'm not sure i get this, my buildings, affect all my lands including those of my vassals, but theirs don't affect me? that's kinda of giving them the upper hand should they start some sort of an internal fight, no?

also, where in the world can i find the intro of the game for my mp3 :p

EDIT:

also, is there anyway at all that lets me choose which of my relatives to send away as a hostage? i mean, if i had brothers and sons, maybe i want to send a brother instead of my heir

I think he means you get the bonuses for your manufactories for any troops you control. So if you raise the levies in your vassals province you get the bonuses, but any troops that they raise themselves only get the bonuses from manufactories in their own demesne.

Ah, that makes more sense, and i can live with this.

also, not sure if anyone mentioned this before but adding a note to the marriage thingy, the randomly generated courtiers can't be married since i guess they don't have a father. this needs to get fixed

When I form a new clan how is the name choosen? Random name based on location? Or something else?
Tried twice so far. Became a vassal as the Shoni and created a new clan. Once I became Chiba, the second time Yanada.

Birken needs to confirm/correct me on this one, but I think it goes like this: If your dynasty name isn't a clan already you're supposed to continue that name, otherwise pick an unused from the pre-scripted ones in dynasties.txt. If no one is available there, one from the clan names in cultures.txt will be used.

One more question. Do you have to be an adult to use plots? I have an underage clan leader and I have no plots available.

Yes, there are a few things not available to underage rulers, like plots and gaining court titles.

I'm pretty sure my dynasty name wasn't in use when I created a new clan and I still got Yanada instead of Shoni. I'm not complaining, changing names was common and I liked Yanada better :)
